Hi Rnt I have the same amp and sometimes use a Boss BD-2 pedal (see link) which does the trick pretty well. (You can also get a modified version of this pedal through Robert Keeley electronics which is apparently superb). Another thing you might try is a 'volume box' (Available on ebay) which goes into the effects loop of the amp. This basically overrides the master volume so

A man goes to a pacific island for vacation. As the boat nears, he notices the constant sound of drumming. As he gets off the boat, he asks a native how long the drumming will go on. The native casts about nervously and says "very bad when drumming stops." Later that day, the drumming is still going and it is really starting to get to him. So, he asks another native when the drumming

There are a couple of Stones/ Band connections over the years (that I know of): Ronnie (and Blondie) guest on Rick Danko's first solo album. And Keith teamed up with Danko and Levon Helm (one of the best drummers ever - after Charlie of course) on All the Kings Men with Scotty Moore etc. Anyone know of any others?

Truly one of the great gigs (tribute or otherwise) of recent times. Clapton is on fire during 'Gently weeps'. Shame Dylan didn't make it - he should have been there. Ron Wood too for that matter.

One of Charlie's fills is worth 10 minutes of any other drummer's solo anyway...

> "...One night, late in 1974, I was at a party at my manager Robert Stigwood's Berkshire house sitting between Jagger and Mick Taylor, who had been hired by the Stones after Brian Jones's death in 1969. Taylor leaned over and told Jagger: "I'm leaving the group." Mick looked at me and said: "Will you join?"... Yeah right - I'm sure

Can't be bothered to work so thought I'd use my time by proposing the following: There have been many great 'Whoops' in rock's history. My top 3 would be - 1. Muddy Waters just before the riff of Manish Boy kicks in 2. Elvis just before the fade out in Mystery Train 3. Mick during the instrumental chorus of Stray Cat blues.

Scorsese seems to be veering more and more into music docs of late. Fine by me. Hope he has time to do one on Neil Young. If anyone deserves a top class documentary treatment it's Neil.

In no particular order... - Always Suffering (You will be as long as this is playing) - Please go home (They should have.....gone home, that is) - Blinded by Rainbows (Never mind blind - I wished I was deaf when I heard this) - Sweet Neo-con (Do me a favour) - Streets of love (Streets of s**t more like). PS - I love the Stones, but you have to draw the line sometimes.

Also interesting to note that, especially on the Seville version, you can hear Keith beginning to shape the opening riff from You got me Rocking on the last couple of minutes after the last verse. (D to D7 with open g string for you axe nerds out there.)

I was blown away when I saw him doing this at the Seville guitar legends gig around 15 years back (not in person unfortunately, live TV broadcast) - been listening alot to the version he did with the XPWs in Boston '93 recently (great soundboard boot posted here several times) and I'm convinced that this is one of Keith's best ever vocal performances - all the lyrics are spot on, s

Apologies if this has already been covered... After the event now obviously, but was wondering - was the total absence of touts outside and around the 02 last Sunday due to the 'security' presence or was it just that there were no tickets around? I went to the venue in the hope that I'd be able to pick up a ticket from one of the usual crew who hang around outside gigs. This

Slightly off the point - but does Keith have relic jobs done on his Teles? i.e. Does someone beat them up on his behalf. I had my Tele for 15 odd years and it just wasn't getting that worn in look no matter how badly I abused it - so I had some guy in Denmark St give it a good going over and now it looks sweet.

I saw a clip (can't remember where) of Ron and Keith introducing The Who before one of their gigs in the mid 70's. Ron says something like "Who's on next?!" (get it?) by way of introduction. Anyone know where this is from?
