Good .... Zeppelin created a great song that is played all over the world for decades, and they shouldn't have to share their composition with the estate of someone who has passed on, and never thought to bring suit against them in the first place.

Maybe my language was a tad strong....as we all know there are traditional arrangements....Motherless Children...and lots of old blues numbers..that are lifted. Out of the millions of song structures, I am sure there could be the same case made over and over that is being made about Stairway to Heaven. We wouldn't be talking about the similarities of the two songs, if it wasn't Stai

If this lawsuit garners ONE DIME against Led Zeppelin, that would be the crime. Anyone with ears can hear that the acoustic version of these two songs are different enough. The Spirit family is simply trying to ride on Page/PLant legacy, and soil it. Play the video at the beginning of the article.

I'm with you on that one Nate! Unfortunately, in my case, money becomes an issue. I was lucky enough to catch them twice on the ZipCode, and they were simply awesome, surprisingly so....Keith is much improved since his "headache", and Mick is always great... the others are very dedicated as well. IF, they do announce some more dates in the USA, I will try as hard as I can to

I agree, I have seen Dylan many times in the last 15 years, and enjoyed every show. Every tour is a little different, when he played The Warner Theater in DC many years ago...he played such awesome electric guitar. This one is Tangled Up In Blue from last year....I mean you gotta put your ears on, and it aint hard. TANGLED UP IN BLUE Quotemnewman505 I've seen 10 Dylan sho

I saw them in D.C. Townshend had a cold, and his voice was shot. They were still awesome, and Townshend worked his ass off...can't believe what a great guitarist he is...and still hitting the power chords as well! He couldn't sing Eminence Front, he tried I'm One....which they got a lot of help from the crowd. They didn't short us though, we got SLIP KID instead, which I

I think all the sentiments here are in agreement. It's all been said before. He violated his relationship with a guy that trusted him to print what very little might not have been talked about already for years. A money grab while the Stones are super in the news for the past few years. CUBA, Totally Stripped, new album, Exibitionism, a potential of more live shows...The Stones couldn

The Rolling Stones are very generous to Mick Taylor on their website, I mean they have the former members links, and the collaborators links. It doesn't seem that they are taking all the credit for their sound past and present, although they are the orchestrators of their sound and productions. Just like they have always been.....

QuoteTheGreek The Glimmer twins should find a way to put Mr. Taylor on the payroll that would provide for his living expenses and his health care ,so he is not broke and close to living on the dol. I know that some will turn there noses up that he is not owed a cent ,but it would be the right thing to do for the living legend that Mr. Taylor is beside he was there during the "golden era"

QuoteHis Majesty Quotealimente QuoteHis Majesty His worst decision was joining the stones. Nice joke indeed, but what would have become of him without joining the Stones? It's not a joke. It's something Taylor himself has pondered. As for what ifs... I guess he would have escaped the particular mind, body and soul @#$%& that being with and for ever related to the stones has

This is getting pretty ugly.....sheesh. Sorry The Stones removed Mick Taylors images and relationship with the band in their exhibitionism..IF THAT IS TRUE...Those really add to his legacy, and high point of his career...isn't he proud of that work? The Stones have done so much in their career....it's unbelieveable they are still going, and put on such a great live performances. Mick

Really enjoyed this one, shows Keith's part in The Rolling Stones, his love of the blues and the history of music puts some of the soul in The Rolling Stones. I see that some have commented on who really started The Stones, and Bill is upset that there is a nice historical marker at the Dartford station. In my opinion, Mick and Keith were there from the beginning, and if they hadn't

QuoteBeforeTheyMakeMeRun Someone feel free to correct me, but weren't the 2012 PPV and the 2013 Glastonbury shows soundboards? Yeah, but they are playing so much better now, and I say that from personal experience. Keith has improved to the point that they are simply rockin.

QuoteLeonioid Quotenonfilter I, for one, love listening to Mick Taylor's spine chilling leads on "Ladies and Gentlemen", but I would just like to point out that members of the band most likely read these posts on occasion, and I think it is really disrespectful to one of the worlds most talented living musicians to keep talking about the guy that had his job before he got it forty

The Rolling Stones would not still be a working band without Ronnie Wood. I truly believe this, of course NO ONE knows if this is actually true or not. Ronnie saved the band with his personality, his artistic talent, and his workman like approach to playing in The Rolling Stones. He has gotten song writing credits, he has contributed tons of licks, and idea's to the Stones since he has
