Grabbed this one when The Stones first started experimenting with limited edition hand-signed---Not plate signed--- album cover lithographs. They only released 12 of the Voodoo Lounge version. Quite pleased I was able to get this one. I believe Keith Richards did the image of the Voodoo man, and one of my favorite albums. GREAT tour. Sorry about the poor image. --

Yeah, the last date in North America, in the Skydome, was on the field close to the stage. After the final song, I put out the last cigarette I ever smoked. I remember being so sad, because I thought it would be the last time I ever would get the chance to see The Rolling Stones live. I know, it's a personal statement, that likely no one cares about....but that is one of the things I assoc

Quotestone4ever QuoteRedhotcarpet Maybe the problem is noone gives Keith Richards honest feedback. Not even Mick. He is just supposed to turn up, perform his part (ie start the songs with a trademark riff), to be like Keith Richards onstage and perform two heartfelt solo numbers. I think there is an element of truth to this Redhotcarpet, i get the impression keith thinks this is all a bit of a

QuoteDeltics This was a con. It was set up with an acting agency and they were looking for a male aged 20-50 who lived in the New York area. The winner was an actor. More here: It's still a great vid to watch, very well produced....too bad I didn't get a chance to see this linked thread when it was posted...I fit all the criteria...except I'm not a professional actor....di

Embarrass himself? You folks gotta get a life....most of you would shit your pants carrying his gear. I saw a few zip code shows and they played Rambler and Bitch better or as good as they did during the 50 and counting shows...Rambler in Detroit was awe inspiring the way they mixed the blues tempo in with the song they have performed 100's of times. Keith Richards input was and

I really do not see the point of this thread. The bait of "Keith guitar playing comments...then you start out he can't play guitar anymore." Is that the point then? They should quit, he doesn't belong holding a guitar in public, he should be shamed by this thread, and how dare they? Looks like a big crowd...and they weren't giving away tickets, and they performed

I personally preferred Pino's approach musically, but John Button is accomplished and filled very well....like someone said, he has big shoes to fill....as you mention, he was warmly appreciated. Quotegrzegorz67 And Pino himself has moved on now, touring with John Mayer all year. What's the new guy, John Button like ? I saw them in Bologna last year with Pino still in the ba

HA ! Of course, I stand corrected. I did mean The Who...as a brand...they didn't just fade away. Seeing Pete, and Roger up there, with those great musicians, and Zak just beating away...gives a superb performance. I am glad they decided to go in that direction, I believe that took a ton of courage to make sure they are still as good as ever, while evolving. Those are the only

Interesting....sorry to hear about Rabbit, he is an employee, although talented, I suppose you can't keep going around getting blotto and telling the boss what to do with alcoholic muscles....but that's in the regular world, not the THE WHO's world of rock and roll.... I am so glad they survived, seeing them again at the MGM National was so enjoyable, I could see Pete squinting

Why didn't Rabbit continue with The Who when they went back to touring on the 2 recent jaunts? Do inquiring minds want to know? Just time for a change I suppose.

They definitely did, I was at the first two shows, and saw them during both shows. They did away with them by the time the official video that was filmed in Jersey though. They filmed the first show for the official video, but didn't like the quality. For more on the first show, here is the LA TIMES review of the show, that mentions the stilt walkers during Monkey Man. They were really c

Yep, RFK Stadium, it was very hot temperature wise! Saw both shows, and it was early days on how to score tickets. Attended both shows, and the first one was amazing...the bootleg is not indicative of the sound at all. I was able to land 2nd row center seats, for a face value of 55.00 ! I will never forget, Jagger shooting up through the stage to Charlies rhythmic beat of Not Fade Away....

You can also listen to ALL three individual shows on Spotify....Amsterdam, Paris, and Brixton.....what a great set. Thank you to The Rolling Stones...they can't be killing on money on these...it is such a departure from their normal behavior, and I for one am thankful.

It's a song that is in my soul....it is the best ever song for me, studio and live, especially how they have played it since '99. No Security, it busted out right at you.

I just listened to a track of this official release...and I know the tech's out there might like sharing the sound examinations...and right I understand how these folks want a remastered perfect sound as close to being in the 5th row center as you can get..... BUT, I can say I am very pleased to hear this one, since it's been a long time since I heard this on one of my collectables..
