I have never had the impression that MJ and BW were particularly close (although they did do Video Rewind together) but wondered if this ever occurred?

I remember watching her on the Old Grey Whistle Test from about 1978 to the early eighties. I always enjoyed her broadcasting, even if she did go on about The Police a bit too much for my liking. RIP Annie.

Quotedcba I have no dog in the fight - I like ACDC but I am not a fan - and imo their 2023 return to the stage gig was quite weak and poor. And add to that the guitars tuned a semitone lower to please Brian, the mercenary drummer and yeah you have an underwhelming perf. Anyway I am sure they will beat another concert attendance once they go on tour. Their first gig in 7 years. They were

Got my tickets for both shows on Wednesday. Out of curiosity, I took another look at the ticket prices on Ticketb*stard earlier and the prices for the 23rd were $1000+ but for 26th they were much more reasonable. Fair enough that most of the 23rd had sold out but it looked like a bit of dynamic pricing was taking place.

QuoteHairball It would be cool if Neil did a guest spot on the new Stones album... Along with the confirmed Paul McCartney guest spot, and also add Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, and Roger Waters. Roger Waters should be nowhere near a Rolling Stones album. He should be in Mother Russia with all his friends.

QuoteHairball Fleetwood Mac would have been good in 2017 when Lyndsey was still in the band. Seemed an odd move when they carried on without him, and now that Christine McVie has passed, a show with that classic lineup is no longer possible. Wondering if there's been any talk of them carrying on as Fleetwood Mac without both Lyndsey and Christine? Would be sacrilege if they did imo, but i

QuoteRoll73 How can it be that 3 seconds after the tickets go on sale that Ticketmaster are saying no more tickets available?! It is probably because they transfer 1000's of tickets onto their own resale site. They are legalised ticket touts after all and it is time they were investigated. I got my tickets for the O2 through AXS.com and even this was a bit of a ball ache. I had to rel

Who is the drummer? He seems to work on the basis of "more is more" but really his style for Rolling Stones songs is "more is less".

QuoteIrix Roger Waters - Comfortably Numb 2022: 18-Nov-2022 - , , . This song is absolutely brilliant if you are a Floyd fan. If the Gilmour guitar solos are not included (we know why!), the song is bang average at best. Looks like Roger got it wrong again just like his support for Voldemort!

QuoteTopi How about Liam Gallagher, paulywaul? Didn't this Grade 1 A-hole once threaten to punch out Keith back in the day? I was surprised that he got a support slot at one of the London Stadium shows in 2018 (he was sh*t) but figured this is why he didn't get to guest with the band during the show like the other guests did on this tour.

Quotelem motlow Any English band who made it to America in the early 60s was going to be the standard bearer, if the Kinks arrived here first Ray Davies would be Lennon/ McCartney only better. Dream on ... cream always rises to the surface. The Beatles were a global phenomenon and there is a world beyond the USA.

I have always thought it was a pretty decent album but also thought that Flip The Switch was the weakest opening track on a Stones album ever. Not a bad song, just a weak opener.

FFS, give the man a break and be grateful he is still there on stage with Mick and Keith where he has been for nearly 50 years. What do you want, a note for note perfect session musician? And before Taylor1 jumps in here, the Mick Taylor ship has sailed.

I'm so glad this clown did not get to guest with the Stones at London Stadium 1 in 2018. Might have had something to do with him threatening to punch out Keith in the 1990's/2000's. That was really big of him. The bloke is a moron.
