Quoteloog droog Rod's version of "Street Fighting Man" is inspired by the Stones. As a big fan of Rod, I cannot see this at all!

QuoteNilsHolgersson I'm thinking they should release a double album in 2021: one side has their new stuff, and one side has some of their old songs but rerecorded with guests. Like Wild Horses with Taylor Swift, Miss You with Ed Sheeran, Satisfaction with Ariana Grande, etc. It would introduce them to a whole new audience. Kids are already wearing the Stones tongue t-shirts, they would love

Each to their own I suppose but I think Brighton Rock (including extended masturbatory guitar solo) is just great, particularly the version on Live Killers.

Quotecrholmstrom He's good but wanky. Could you please explain what you mean? I'm English so I am fully aware of the term wank but not in the context of playing the guitar.

QuoteBraincapers Quotedeardoctor QuoteMunichhilton Did they mess with the order of the concert? The complete bootleg is much different... I mentioned it above. This Re-release is incomplete again. So better keep your boot. Strange: No one seems to care. I'd have bought the new CD for the extra tracks Me too. For me, it is not worth spending £££'s on a box set to look at the stuf

Do we really need another BtB release? St Louis is great but would really hope for something from 1976 (+1977!) or an expanded Love You Live.

QuoteHairball What some of the critics had to say about Ronnie's recent exhibit in August: "Yikes,These are frightening pastiches. Perhaps Mr Wood should stick to making music and not cross disciplines". - Paul Carter Robinson, the founder of Artlyst He seems to have taken one of the greatest and most moving works of art (Picassos Guernica), a desolate cry against war,

Quotedcba As for the perf itself... Ymmv but to me the gig starts okay not great then it slowly sinks into "meh" territory. I could name 10 gigs from 99 that are better than this one. You had to be there dc'. I doubt any of the audience were thinking at the time that the band were sinking into "meh" territory whatever that is!

QuoteChester On January 31, 1959, my parents went on a date to a show at the Duluth (Mn.) Armory, where they saw Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. Three days later, of course, they died in a plane crash (the performers, not my parents). Also in attendance at that show was Bob Zimmerman from Hibbing Mn., so inspired, legend has it, that he picked up a guitar and changed his name to

Quotejamesfdouglas This FINALLY came! I got the SD blu-ray/CD set. Man, what memories. I videotaped the re-broadcast in 1990 off of Muchmusic (yes I still have those 3D glasses) and watched it so... many... times! If you knew me in highschool and came to my house, you saw the 17-song edited special. I still think they played Miss You way, WAY too fast in 89/90! Hahah It's also ruined b

QuoteDorn all the recent concert releases have a terrible sound quality (San Jose 99, Miami 94, BA 1998 etc) No idea which sources they used. Even Totally Stripped, originally either recording or mastering done analogically (i don´t remember), compare the Paradiso 26.5. GIMME SHELTER or SFM with the original 1995 releases - what a lousy job on the new releases. That just ain´t no HiFi Some p

So the bonus tracks are only available in a digital format and if I want physical copies I have to shell out x11 the cost of the CD? You must be joking! I wonder what the purpose of a re-issue like this and who the target audience is. Personally, I am not interested in a remaster without any bonus material. I am happy with my original CD copy from 1991, so my money is staying in my pocket.

Quotercfoxy - 10” vinyl of 3 unreleased bonus tracks (I Wanna Be Your Man, Little T&A, You Don’t Move Me) exclusive to this box set only This is all I am interested in, maybe the DVD, but I am not getting £££££ raped for a load of sh1t that I don't want. Why they couldn't do the decent thing and release a double CD with the bonus tracks included is beyond me. Nice marketing bu

I do not know if this has been discussed earlier but I feel the Glyn Johns remixes on Disc 2 are a complete waste of disc space. Maybe it is my equipment but I do not think they offer anything special or significantly different.

QuoteWry Cooter You take about 4 songs from the Bon Scott era, the best 4 off Back in Black, the best 4 thereafter and well...you have one of the greatest albums of all time. You could probably say something similar about all major bands/artists with a half decent back catalogue.

QuoteBig Al We had it all was disappointing; I remember it being a different take to the familiar bootleg release. I don't think this is correct but I have not listened to it in a while too. I thought it was great to finally get an official release of this song. Keith's vocal is great on this, one of his best IMHO.
