QuoteElmo Lewis Tommy = one of the most boring albums ever (2 or 3 great songs) Each to their own, I suppose. I always thought the production on this landmark album was a bit muddy but that all changed with the 2013 remaster.

Do fans really give a sh*t about the Hall of Fame? To me it means nothing but then again I am old and cynical.

Unless this alleged programme was locally produced in Japan without band consent, I doubt a 1973 programme would have pictures of the band from the 1960's in it. I am sure an official programme would have more recent pictures from the 1972 Tour. Out of my price range anyway but unless someone could confirm that it is official, I would not go near this.

Finally caught up and watched the Get Back documentary over the last few days. Loved every minute, particularly the full rooftop concert. Highlight for me though was 6 year old Heather screaming in the microphone Yoko style. This was better/more tuneful than Yoko herself and showed what a sham her alleged avent-garde talent was.

Nice for us English to have a new tennis sporting hero. I'm sure another British tennis player was wearing his Canadian shirt tonight. I really hope he was p*ssed off with Emma's win.

Quotedcba QuoteGasLightStreet Ridiculous. To deny how awesome The Beatles were (are) is beyond stupidity. Imo the "fab" 4's music has aged badly (it reeks of the 60's) and post-69 careers solo by the lads are awful. Yes I'm one who thinks "Imagine" is awful, cheeesy and laughable. The Beatles are slowly fading into oblivion and they'll sink in it c

QuoteRisingStone Don’t know why, but for me, the Stones with Steve Jordan are somewhat easier to be accepted than Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham, at least. B*llocks! There is a big difference here, Charlie is still with us and does not need to be replaced. Sadly, John Bonham is not with us. This is all about $$$$$$$$ and anything other than the Rolling Stones on the ticket would not sell ou

This is the billionaire Branson who wanted the British taxpayer to pay for his furloughed British Airways staff while he lived in a Caribbean tax haven counting his money to see if he had enough to buy a rocket. What a complete and utter w*nker!

QuoteGasLightStreet Saying the 2000s doesn't just imply the first decade, it's also the same as saying the 1900s. As in, Twentyhundreds - the entire century. Nobody says the One thousand, nine hundreds. That's pathetic, the "two thousands." I think most of us less intelligent board members out there might have known exactly what rebelhipi meant (maybe his/her fi

Am I the only one on this board who thinks that the three Glyn Johns remixes are a waste of disc space? Given the recent FFSO leak, there were more interesting recordings available for real fans which the expanded release was aimed at.

Quotewiredallnight I am sorry but to me these tracks sound all bad and somehow overprocessed. Come on Wired, these recordings are 50+ years old and not official releases, so you are not going to get state of the art quality. Thanks for posting Bol, I think these recordings are great.

QuoteLeonidP I used to like the Love You Live / El Mocambo "Ronnie Wood is gay" but I'm pretty sure I can't like that one anymore. I'm also guessing that will be removed from future releases, so I'll have to find another favorite. FFS! You cannot re-write history and you cannot judge 1970's humour by 21st century values. I have never seen a lot of love for YGMR on this board, particularly as it been included in the set list for a long time. My take on it is that it must be fun to play live, which is fine by me. I have no problem with this song at all and I think Voodoo Lounge is a great late era album.

Quoteloog droog QuoteCaptain Teague Quoteloog droog Rod's version of "Street Fighting Man" is inspired by the Stones. As a big fan of Rod, I cannot see this at all! Well, you see, "Street Fighting Man" is a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and originally recorded by the Rolling Stones rock group. I have just checked this on Wikipedia and you are 100
