Hi, I am still going on 13th myself but the other party cannot now go hence the spare. I live in Oxfordshire so my preference would be to meet and swap face-to-face.

I travelled in from Swindon on the day, ticketless. No touts (scalpers) to be seen around the O2 and there were terse warning messages over the tannoy as we arrived at the Underground Station not to buy from them. There is, however, a seatwave.com office near the O2 so I kept checking availability and prices. I also checked the box office but they flatly refused to sell anything on the cheap

As long as you had a good time my fellow Scot.It doesn't make you any less of a fan. 15 shows for me between 1990 & 2007. Gig No 7 was at Murrayfield,Edinburgh on 4th June 1999, when I thought the band were on fire and the crowd (at least down at the front) were the wildest of my 15 shows. £30 a ticket too and far from sold out. Quotewee bobby lennox became a stones fan in 1987.

Dzienkuje bardzo. I was there - fabulous show with an atmosphere to match. Travelled from my home in the UK for a long weekend. Despite the User Name I'm not a Pole, I'm just a Scot who loves Poland and the Stones. Polska i Stones na zawsze Szkocki Grzegorz

Wembley Stadium Friday 24/8/1990 2nd last night of the urban jungle tour. 23 years old, so pumped up with excitement. Jumped around so wildly during Start Me Up that the enire contents of my pockets - wallet, car keys & coins fell out, though I miraculously found it all amongst the feet of the mad crowd ! Let out a loud gasp of joy when I heard the opening bars of Ruby Tuesday, to th

Go Scotland go !!!!! I'm a passionate & proud Scot from Hamilton ,but exiled near Swindon, Wiltshire. The match is being played at Hampden Park,Glasgow, where the Stones played last year & the concert was broadcast on BBC Radio 1. I'll be cheering my heart out for them from afar.

Wee Bobby Lennox, I think it has much to do with the 3 days of national mourning for the 27 Polish pilgrims who died in the Coach Crash in France. Perhaps they though it a bit insensitive to play it. The Stones offered to donate money to a fund set up for the victims' families, but the religious charity organising it refused to accept it as 'dirty cash'. See my thread on that

From the British Daily Mail Newspaper: "Father Zbigniew Sobolewski, a spokesperson for Caritas, said: "We will not be opening any account from which money raised from the organisers or sponsors of the concert might be passed on. "Caritas Poland wants to respect the time of mourning as an occasion when reflection on life and death and prayer can take place." Bu

I remember the incident very well. Then,as now, I work in Swindon & heard all about it when I got home that night. The headline in one of the UK gutter papers (The Sun I think) the next day was Jumpin' Jack Crash. I recall that Jo was driving & remember seeing a photo of the car on its side next to the central barrier of the motorway. He ended up in the main Swindon Hospital (Prin

Hi Frank, I'm Gregor, the Scottish guy you met in the web cafe in Paris on the evening after the show there. Terrible thing to happen to you but I'm sure you'll get over it. The passport is the first issue to sort - I'm sure your bank can arrange to send new cards to a US consul/embassy for you to collect. I understand you're following the nand all over Europe this S

I am not Polish but visit the country every year or 2 and that sums up feelings about the 2 songs very nicely - the general public there go mad for Angie in particular. I was at Chorzow in '98 and though not on the field, I've since met several fans who were and there was a mass clamour for them to play Angie, which sadly they didn't.

Yes, I too have been testing their site & new tickets seem to be available all the time - randomly scattered around the stadium. It could be for all sorts of reasons - often hospitality/package companies returning unsold tickets to recover some loss. I would expect this to increase as show day approaches. I though I'd done well to get 3 tickets for U6 (half way down the pitchside) f

Happy Birthday Ronnie, And thanks for all your great guitar playing - you truly are so much better than many give you credit for. Thanks also for getting your 2 bosses to speak to each other again back in 88/89 - without that we wouldn't have got them or you. And please please defeat the demon bottle - we want to see you on top form so that you can treat us to some more of those great

That is simply crazy. I can just imagine fights breaking out as people argue over seats. A recipe for disaster. They will be temporary grandstands too so I hope the fights don't shake them so much that they fall down....

For me I have exactly the opposite problem ! I first got into the Stones in 1975/76 at age 8/9 as a result of my parents, in their 30s at the time playing the compilation Rolled Gold. I didn't see the band in the flesh until 1990 (Wembley 24/8) at the age of 23 but have now seen them on every tour since, both home & abroad (incl USA !) - a total of 14 times. Finally, nearly 17 y

Probably they'll still smoke and be prosecuted & fined some measely some of money - not that it's likely to hurt them !!! I personally totally support the new law - I had my breakfast in the Witherspoon's (The Bridge ?) in Belfast on April 30th - the very day the new law came into force there - good stuff. G
