Gibsonman, trust me, you're not missing much in not having seen much Scottish Football. Due to low standards and poor money, the best talent ends up in the lower leagues in England, or,alternatively, rotting in the reserve team of one of the bigger clubs, where they earn much more money than playing for a top team in Scotland.

Even as a Scot and Hearts fan I disagree. Though it pains me to say it the standard in the Scottish league is probably at an all time low and the style not exactly conducive to developing talent so not a good move for him. There's very little money in the Scottish game and the incompetent buffoons who mismanage it can't even find it a sponsor. We have a very poor TV deal too.

Flying is much cheaper and easier. Easy jet do 2 flights daily each way from Bristol. I think you'll have no difficulty whatsoever in picking up good tickets on the night. just usual prep : a stage floor plan and a high res colour photocopy of a ticket so that you don't get sold a poor ticket, or worse still, a dud. I paid £144 altogether for Birminghsm tomorrow night and someone on

He's got quite a gap for it! Columbus is not until Saturday and I hear they have one stage for the whole tour and considering the distance from San Diego to Columbus that's why there's a 6 day gap. It sounds like they cut it fine for San Diego. And Bjornulf, I'd echo Crawdaddy, you have to earn a crust like everyone else.

SonicDreamer, I was absolutely bowled over by what I witnessed on Sunday night at the O2. His stamina really does put him in a league of his own. He has no Keith to carry the load for a couple of songs either. Can't wait for tomorrow night, ticket bought late last night. it's a top category front lower side seat. I was round at my parents when I bought online with my mother moaning a

Yeah your spot does look to be quite far over to the right! We are trying for right up front in GA and hope it's better behaved than for the Stones 2 years ago when there were a few fights in the crowd, though I believe there were some in the expensive areas too ! 9 days before the gig I scored centre floor row 5 for the Who's O2 show 1 in March and it got me hooked

I'd take it over YGMR any day of the week! When it came out people who know me and know I'm a Stones fanatic were coming up to me and saying they thought it was a real belter !

Hi Tony, Is your mum really one of that quartet ? That video is brilliant ! These 4 ladies clearly look after themselves well and are having an absolute ball. I tip my hat to them! My dad's 16 years younger and could take a big leaf out of their book. Bless 'im and long may he live but he's a miserable old git at times. As opposed to when my mum started dating him in the 60s. Quotefrankotero Not sure I agree with the notion he's milking nostalgia. Most people going to his concerts are Beatles fans and expect it. Furthermore, he doesn't shun his past but actually promotes it, plus he makes new music and promotes that as well. His latest single is in the set list now and a few from his recent LP. Don't want to say he's relevant but he's tapped i

And don't forget the late great Roald Jensen, who starred for my club, Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) back in the 1960s. Before my time, but he was much loved there and was our first ever non British Player. Strangely, his effor

I love this one from New - Queenie Eye. A proper old fashioned toe tapper. Last night I bought a top price ticket for tomorrow night's show in Birmingham. 5th row on the side and very close to the stage. At the O2 I was in Level 4 and no I didn't get a senior citizen discount for my 73yo parents! I can't wait. This time tomorrow I'll be making the 90 mile drive up ther

QuoteRollingFreak The two are pretty comparable aside from price, in which case Paul is a BIT better (they are both still extremely overpriced, and sorry but I think they could both charge $25-$50 for every seat in a stadium or baseball park and still make a killing). The Stones shows are shorter, but its also the Stones. Paul does Beatles and Wings and solo. So the extra 30-45 minutes is pret

I was there, with my parents! my mum's 2 DAYS younger than Macca & my dad 9 months older. We were in £91.50 GBP seats and I thought Macca's voice was fine, although the Helter Skelter went a bit out of control at the start. My 1st ever Macca show and now I want to see him on Wednesday night in Birmingham in a top price seat. For me, 41 songs represents outstanding value for mone

Quotecrawdaddy Hi Gregor, you are mistaken about me being in BVs' car. I remember that day so clearly. I met you for the first time at Telenor Arena , but just missed Bard and gibsonman who I had met the previous evening. Also met Linda the English woman for the first time for years. First met her at MSG New York 2003. She was with the American lass. When I got the bus back to town,

Inexplicable stuff like that happens at gigs. I'm going to see Paul McCartney in London on Sunday with my parents. Our seats are £91.50 GBP each and the row BEHIND is £140 GBP. Work that one out if you can! As you Americans say (and I do love the expression), the Promoter is going to take a bath on ticket prices as the clock runs down. And when that bath is hopefully run, I plan to

anyone have any idea how Detroit and Buffalo are selling ? I'm strongly considering heading across from the UK, basing myself in Canada and day tripping to both. The ticket master website is appearing to show all the nosebleeds sold out in Buffalo, which zi find hard to believe...

Hi Mr Crawdaddy And that's how I recognised Mr Powderman, standing right next to me in the audience for the excellent Midnight Ramblers tribute act at the John Dee club the night before the gig ! I went to the actual gig itself with him too. Mr DP played a starring role all weekend, welcoming lots of visiting non Norwegians into his entourage, you and I included. I'll be at t

Mine too DP! My 1st show was the 2nd last night of the whole tour at Wembley on 24th August 1990 when we got the Steel Wheels Stage instead. I thought it was going to be my 1st and last show ever. Look how that turned out! Still mulling over going to the U.S. tour but might hang on for South America in the Autumn instead. What I'd really like is for them to come back to the UK/Europe next

I got one of those ancient buses from Warsaw to Chorzow that took 7 hours and the guy sitting next to me was at that 1967 show! Milo byc snowu w Polsce!!
