Nice video, apart from the French commentators talking gossip during the solo, that is -.- Always lots of fun to see Page handle his guitar, I adore his playing a lot and besides, I think the girl's voice fits nicely (Plant sounds "female" enough, so she didn't have a hard job) ;-)

Lol, now really... there's nothing over-nationalistic about posting one (!) photo and the final score of the match. If at all, I see a greater danger here in becoming over-pedantic just because some guys here celebrate the success of fellow countrymen.

QuoteLukester QuoteMacPhisto In the last few setlists we finally had some movement. Above all we don't have too many songs from this decade any more and I think the proportion is now much more balanced! ....well, it was good while it lasted. Check out the setlist from last night. Ah, well, I better wouldn't have said that ;-) Easy come, easy go...

I think this article is very well known. I read it shortly after I bought the Modern Times album about two years ago. I think it's very well written and the author certainly got a point here. It's obvious that Dylan is geared to the title of his 2001 album love and theft as he strongly adopts influences (and songs) from those before him, who had a strong influence on him. This is not

QuoteAdrian-L Apparently, during the show on the 8th, the following little event occurred – "Kimball drew the ire of the bandleader in “Summer Days” when Dylan left his keyboard to give him some face-to-face instructions, evidently about his volume level. Later, when Dylan introduced the band, he said “Stu Kimball on guitar…at least I think that’s Stu Kimball…” Interesting! I remember abo

QuoteJust reminds me of our German Rechtschreibreform (Keiser, Schifffahrt and such). This might also have inspired Open G, I guess... Whoa, wait a second! I was aware of Schifffahrt, but do we really write "Keiser" instead of "Kaiser"???? I'm shocked. Ich weigere mich in einigen Fällen übrigens nach wie vor die neue Rechtschreibung anzuwenden... vor allem die f/ph-

QuoteAdrian-L Bootleg Series #8 'will lead to more piracy' Yes, I think this article really (!) hits the nail on the head! These are exactly my thoughts about the huge difference of more than 100$ between the 2 and 3 disc releases. Nothing else to add to what the article says!

Interesting! Marius has made some really really great music! I love his 70s/80s (most notably "Pfefferminz", "Dicke", "Johnny W." and so on and so forth) and most of his 90s stuff! Those were the days when he also was a fantastic live performer and filled whole stadiums. Unfortunately it seems to me that he became rather snobbish and conceited from the end of

Now, I don't want to start a new thread for every news that come in, but I have two things on my mind, so I'll post them here: 1) Has anyone ever seen this one? Bob kissing Seems to me most incredible, I mean this is Bob Dylan who most of the time doesn't even look in the direction of his audience! Don't they have any security there? I've never seen something l

QuotesweetcharmedlifeHere is an interesting quote from a recent Nils Lofgren interview: The band, musically, is in the best shape we've ever been, I think," says Lofgren, an E Street Band member since 1984. "The whole show has become one long improv/audible now; sometimes (Springsteen) changes the first song on the way to the stage, and usually by the second song he's calli

Amazing setlists! And amazing setlist shifting! I've seen awesome performances by Bruce and the band on the tour... and I've come to think finally that he might be the greatest live act there is! I don't know who really should compare. Oh, I would have loved to hear Tougher than the rest and This hard land live. I could imagine those two work really well played in front of an

This Handy Dandy is - up to now - only available as part of a torrent on Dime which compiles several songs from different concerts from this European Tour. Dime As far as I know, the whole show has not surfaced yet... but usually this is only a matter of time ;-) I hope the Rock in Rio show will appear soon, too...

QuoteLukesterHey MacPhisto, that video of "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" was great, absolutely great. Thanks so much for sharing it. Bob looked like he was having a good time. That happens to be one of my favorite Dylan tunes and it always amazes me how Bob can remember the lyrics to so many songs. Another favorite of mine is "Desolation Row," which shows up in setlists oc

Those of you who have access to Dime should have a look at Tom Thumb's Blues from Rock in Rio which was broadcasted in Spanish television! Consequently the video has a very good quality and, what is more, it shows Dylan directly from the front during the whole song, which is a rather rare thing to see. You can also see how the communication between the band members works on stage with Bob

QuoteLorenzAccording to my definition, the most attactive football is the best one. But ok, I accept that this might not be the common definition. At the end, the winner is probably the best. Yes, I think there's some truth in that. As spectators we all like to see what we call "attractive football" of course. But then again, football is not a sport where attractive playing is re
