I'm really hot and cold about him. After the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame debacle, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Just like the Blondie thing. I've got over 700 items in my Blondie collection alone. It made me want to pitch it all in the trash. Scotty

You might not be able to rent a car in California. Theres got to be some 'legal eagles' that are Stones fans that read this message board. Hopefully you'll get a reply. Scotty

One of my top 5 was left out. Mick Green of The Pirates. If my failing memory serves me correctly, there was an blurb about him in Trouser Press. It said that he was a favorite of Jimmy Page, Richie Blackmore and Pete Townshend, and influenced them all to pick up the guitar. It also stated that Pete nicked his now famous 'windmill' style from Mick after seeing him play in the late 5

As stated by others here, I'm having a hard time stomaching the negative posts on this thread. Whether you dislike punk or not, you can't ignore the impact the Pistols and NMTB had on the music industry. They opened the door for the DIY ethic that was so lacking in music at that time. Some say Keith was the original punk. This is an opinion that can be debated 'ad nauseum'

Hey 'Hairball'. I'm Orch, row F, seat 213. We'll have to get together before the show for a couple of beers. Too bad he's not playin' the Hard Rock in Vegas like he did for Greendale. The stage was too small so he did 2 1/2 hrs of hits and left 2 Greendale songs for the first encore. Then he played 2 more encores and almost came out for a fourth. One of the bes

I guess were talkin' about Stones songs here. 1) Satisfaction - true stereo version 2) Midnight Rambler - I sing this at kareoke(?) nights. I've been told it sounds like Danzig meets the Stones. Scotty

I'm glad for this thread. Did anyone see them at the Wiltern in LA? Who was the opening band? No, not that horrible chick group!! I recognized Phil from Motorhead on drums. Who were the others? They weren't that bad, I'd see them again. Scotty, Irvine

There is an article in todays Los Angeles Times business section that Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Carlos Santana are suing the guy that runs wolfgangsvault.com over copy right infringement. Sorry, I'm not computer literate enough to post a link. But it's latimes.com. Scotty

A friend made boots in the 70's. They said they would send copies of each Stones release they did to the New York office to pass on to the band. Scotty

Not including the Stones for obvious reasons. 1) X - Billy Zoom is very under rated. 2) early James Harman Band - The pairing of Hollywood Fats & Kid Ramos was scary. 3) early Fab T-Birds - Jimmie Vaughn taught Stevie how to play. 4) Dr. Feelgood - 99.9% of people will say 'Who's Wilko Johnson?'. 5) Sex Pistols - Changed the course of rock 'n' roll. Scotty

I've got to weigh in on this one. 1) Dave Mathews 2) Hootie and The Blow Hards 3) Springsteen - I just don't get him. Start the hate responses for this one. 4) Phish - I hate bands that noodle/jam. 5) Any Los Angeles hair band. Scotty

Does anyone know of any mash-ups using Stones songs? I've been collecting these for some time now. Some are real clever. The Sex Pistols/Madonna 'Ray of Gob' EP by Go Home Productions rocks. Scotty

Oh god, where do I start. A girlfriend dragged me to see the Gypsy Kings. Drank so much beer she had to drive home. Then another girlfriend, who thought she was doing me a favour because Gwyn(?) used to come into my friends record store in Anaheim to buy ska records, took me to see No Doubt. Jeez, over hyped no talents. This reminds me why I'm single and go to Stones shows alone!

I'm gonna get alot negative responses for this but I personally think LCD and plasma TVs are overrated and overpriced. I have yet to see one that has better picture quality than my 32" JVC CRT. Sure, the newer TVs have a 'bright' picture but they are slow to react to a picture that has alot of movement in it. Ghosting, smearing and fuzziness seems to be a problem. I'm

I have one reservation about this tour. If it starts on the east coast, they'll never make it to the west coast, where I live. The tour will implode before it reaches here and I'll have wasted a damned Ticketmaster service charge. Scotty. Irvine

Probably not everyones taste but here goes - The Plasmatics - Whiskey A Go Go 1981? Never seen nothin' like it before or since. The Cramps - Ikabods, Fullerton CA. late '70s. See comment above. The Damned - Whiskey A Go Go 1977? Joe Perry Project - Golden Bear, Huntington Beach. Early 80's. This rocked!!! He needs to go solo again. Scotty

The GR is technically right, bootlegging differs from piracy in a legal sense. Recording a concert and trading it, free of charge, technically does not brake the law. But when you accept money for the recording, you have broken the law. Songs, whether on albums, played on the radio, or live in concert, are covered by copyright laws. The artists and record companies have all the angles covered

I've got a wall of autograghs that I've gotten in person. I only have a few that I've bought from people that I know personally, so I'm sure (99%) that they are real including a complete Stones set with Bill. I just got a Keith auto on a Pirates promo photo on eBay. The guy included photo's of his photographers press pass from the Disney premier, him on the red carpet

After the B2B show at the MGM Grand, I was on the elevator going back to my room. It stops at a floor and Chuck Leavell and Bobby Keys get on. My jaw almost hit the floor. As they were talking between themselves I didn't want to bother them. As I got off at my floor , I turned around and thanked them for a great show. At the first 40 Licks show at the Grand, I'm standing in the conc

Do we really need 'Song Remains The Same' on dvd? With the bootleggers releasing stuff left and right, it's kinda redundent.
