Thanks for the info Theif!! I'm leaning toward the stand alone because it's a straight bit for bit burn like my Panasonic when the high speed function is used. Plus they're cheap. About $130 on eBay. My concern if I buy two drives for my computer is there may be a re-encoding step when trying to burn from one drive to the other. Scotty

Having read the blank cd-r thread, I now have concerns about all the rare stuff I've got burned on cd-r & dvd-r discs. Obviously they need to be transfered to gold disc's BUT! Should I buy a stand alone duplicator or replace the two cd-rw drives in my computer with dvd-rw drives? Any thoughts? Any suggestions? If I buy two new drives for my computer, what manufacturer and what

Here's my top five, in no peticular order. 1) CCR - Bayou Country was my very first LP I bought as a child. 2) James Harmon Band - Hollywood Fats/Kid Ramos era. 3) Cheap Trick - Pop at it's finest. 4) The Cars - Great songs and Orr (RIP) had one of the most emotive voices. 5) Neil Young - Sorry loog. 99.9999% of his output was here in California. Honorable Mentions. Plasmat

I agree with Bjornulf. Lets not get too personal here. The Stones must feel Blondie adds to band, that's why he's there. Hey, he's a great guy. He stopped to talk to me prior to one of the MGM shows when I saw him walking thru the food court area. He would not be there if he did not contribute. Geez, who's next on the hit list? The other guys in the horn section? Scott

Hi folks. Just just got a dvd of The Faces on this french TV program, broadcast date 02/13/71. Much to my suprise, there's a long interview with Mick prior to the Faces. He answers questions in both french and english. But, in between questions, there's great b/w stills of the Stones on stage with live audio. Does any one know which concert the stills and live audio are from? Fyi,

I'm sweatin' just thinkin' about it. Gotta go to their website and 'tug off a quick one' to their pix. Damn the Stones. SPICE GIRLS RULE. Can't wait for the bootleg dvd. Scotty

Since it's just me and the cat in this world, Christmas's are cheap. Maybe a Beast of Burden sleeve if I can find a real one. Maybe a new TV. Or a new mattress. Got to finally get the stink of my bitch ex out of the house. Do I sound bitter? Scotty

Oops. I forgot about this one. Buck Owens at the old Crazy Horse in Santa Ana, CA. His first show after cancer. He hadn't played in several years. 3 plus hours. After his set and several encores, the crowd would not leave. After playing all his stuff he kindly took requests from the crowd. I don't know who had the bigger smiles on their face, Buck or the crowd. A truly magical

One of the best transfers to CD is the first German editions of Hot Rocks Vols 1 & 2 that came out many moons ago. It appears to be a 'flat' transfer. Everything is crystal clear and the stereo seperation, especially on Satisfaction, is mind boggling. Scotty

Neil Young at The Joint in Las Vegas for the Greendale tour. The place is so small he couldn't do the Greendale show. He played almost 3 hours. 2 1/2 of hits then three encores. First encore was a couple of Greendale songs, then the other two encores were more hits. And it was LOUD. Scotty

I've been waiting for a Stones mash-up. Gotta have it. I've been picking up rock inspired mash-ups lately. The Sex Pistols/Madonna mash-up 'Ray of Gob' by Go Home Productions is a must have. Loud and snotty. Gotta get a Numark USB turntable so I can start transfering them to cd. Scotty

Like many others, it's hard to pick out just three. 1) Keith - duh! 2) MICK Green - Very unique style of playing. Once you've heard it, you'll never forget it. Influenced Pete T, Jimmy P and Richie B. Pete supposedly nicked the 'wind mill' from Mick after seeing him in the early 60's. 3) Ollie Halsall - Patto/Boxer guitarist. Same reason as Mick. A very des
