I hate stadium shows! Lucky to have seen the Stones in various sizes of venues over the years and they're the only band I've ventured into a stadium to see since 1976. I doubt if there will be any more arena shows, but this band has proved my forecasts wrong on multiple occasions over the years (although I was close in guessing Bill's replacement).

Sounds fantastic. Will be interesting to hear how the vocal mics picked up the instruments on other tracks. This is essentially a vocal duet over acoustic strumming. Didn't notice the steel guitar until near the end, but that may have been because I was so enthralled by the vocals. Much clearer than some of the muddy old bootlegs I tracked down over the years.

Now that the shock has worn off, can start to reflect upon how much joy his music has given me. First saw him with Dr Feelgood on "The Geordie Scene" on Saturday afternoon TV in 1975 and was blown away. Their energy level reminded me of early Stones (and they played Route 66 on the show) with a strict adherence to 3 chords and a barely harnessed energy. Saw Dr Feelgood live with Wilko

Oh no. One of my great favourites. So long, Wilko. Thanks for all the music.

Also not a fan of guests. Didn't mind Sheryl Crow so much as her band were support the times I saw her - so she wasn't just there as a guest - and her music is an organic fit for the Stones. Saw Angus and Malcolm with them once. Four guitars? On Rock Me Baby? Thought it was overkill lumbering white boy blues and wasn't impressed. Overall, guest appearances seem under-rehearsed

One of the greats. He had his demons, but the music! What an incredible untamed talent. One of the few true innovators, I've spent my life in awe of his genius. RIP? The Killer never did anything peacefully. We just lost a force of nature.

It's been wrongly reported that he has died. Well, he hasn't, although Linda Gail's Facebook request for prayers is worrying.

Circumstances and the Stones themselves will decide when and how they stop rolling. I would never have thought that they would tour without Charlie, but they did and we loved it (in the main). Was very aware at my last show might be just that and happy to have them go out on a high, if that was to be their decision. It's not our choice to make, still buzzing that the last show I saw was m

There may not be any more after this tour. Maybe it's just me, but I got the impression at HP2 that the band were very aware that this could be their last London show. Keith, in particular, seemed to be determined not to mess up. I know that some of you had reservations about the setlist, but I thought it was a fantastic celebration and appreciation of the Stones and their legacy in their

QuoteRisingStone QuoteManofwealthandtaste Quoteteleblaster Anyone know why Christone Kingfish Ingram didn't. Play? To be honest, he was the only support I had any real interest in seeing. Hi there teleblaster - as far as I can see he did play. He performed on the Hard Rock Rising Rainbow stage, not the Great Oak stage, which was a shame as I would have liked to have seen him too. Yes he

QuoteSimonN Hello, Looking for some advice from those who were lucky enough to get to either (or both, you swine!) of HP1 or HP2. Covid allowing, I'm meant to be going down there for Pearl Jam this weekend and as ever, am looking to take a few photos. Based on what you saw, would I stand a chance of getting this camera and bag in with me? Rubbish CD by some old band included to give an

QuoteThe Worst. Great, great show. I thought it was better than first one, because the band was more relaxed and seemed to have more fun. People sitting home complaining about set lists, sunglasses (they had the sun in their faces FFS), youtube audio or whatever. Get a grip! Mick was all over the place, much more energetic, relaxed and fun than during the first show. Keith was smiling throughout

Back in the hotel and a couple of nightcaps. Fantastic show, Keith more focused than I've seen him in a while, Mick defying the laws of ageing. The audience around me was predominantly young and knew every word. If this is their last London show - and I do suspect that this might be the case - they did us proud. I don't even particularly like LARS, but Jagger, on particular, nailed it

Another link. Gene Krupa was the celebrity drummer in Goodman's classic 1930s line up. He was hugely influential (and is also credited with the first recorded drum solo). Check out "Sing,Sing,Sing" - you've probably heard it before. You can be sure that Charlie Watts was very familiar with his work.

QuoteWild Slivovitz I guess that Jagger has been prescribed a 5 days antiviral treatment, so the doctors assessed that in a week he should be ok. That's just a guess, though. That's my best guess as well. A colleague of mine who has underlying health issues got such treatment when she contracted covid same time as me. She recovered much more quickly than I did and without the residual

Talking about female guitar slingers, Joanne Shaw Taylor would surely appeal to a lot of Stones fans and introduce her to a bigger audience. She's very good live.

No just a cheap re-issue, making money of the same idiots who will buy this anyway….. Among them probably me!! More of the licks tour to come, don't worry I dream of a DVD from Paris, Bercy 2003... Now that would be special.
