This is SO DIFFERENT than any previous loss The Stones have endured. It is the end of an era and should not be treated as "just another personnel change." I hate to say it, but they will not recover from this even they do this tour. It is over folks...

A new version of The Rolling Stones without Charlie Watts could be playing in my local park and I wouldn't go. Sadly,8/24/21 was the day the band ended.

Lou Gehrig, "The Iron Horse," died on June 2, 1941. Charlie Watts, the second "Iron Horse," was born on June 2, 1941. The next "Iron Horse" was most likely born today, August 24, 2021.

I met Charlie Watts backstage at the Blue Note in NYC in 1992. I asked him to sign a poster I bought at the gift shop. He said,"sure, give me a pen."I said I didn't have one. He said "You want me to sign this and you don't have a pen?" He turned around and walked back to the dressing room and slammed the door behind him. I was crest fallen. He then comes back out wit

This line-up is truly dreadful. I will not be watching. The original idea of benefit concerts, like Bangladesh or Live-Aid, was to see a a group of A-list bands or musicians draw your attention to a plight that needed help financially and raised awareness. This bullshit tells me to go to CVS or Walgreen's and get two shots. Thank you Jennifer Lopez for telling us what to do as you shake your

Hi: Listening to the new "FFO" collection and I can't help but think that "You Better Stop That" from 1982 is a somehow dry run of "She Was Hot." Identical drum track and a lot of similar sounding guitars and vocal melody from Mick. Any thoughts?

Ditch "Hold Back," "Winning Ugly," "Back To Zero" and "Too Rude," and replace with "Nobody's Perfect," "Strictly Memphis," "Putty In Your Hands and "I Can't See No One Else," and you have a great album. Three covers, but no turkeys. My two cents...

"Won't Get Fooled Again" has everything. Great singing, drumming, bass playing and guitar work. Great lyrics, jamming, and production. Producer Glyn Johns said the hair on his neck went up when he was recording it. Sublime.

The guitar solo on TWFN was the basis of the sax solo in "Waiting on a Friend," which was initially recorded for GHS in late 1972.

>there was one of the Boston Marathon bombers on the cover LOOKING LIKE JIM MORRISON. I was infuriated, cancelled by phone I don't get it. You don't like Jim Morrison? (I can identify with that, but don't see your point.) My point is they glamorized a cold blooded killer in a manner that made him look like a rock star! It was revolting and in very poor taste. And I don&#

In 1976, when I was 14-years-old, a neighbor was cleaning out his garage and gave me all his copies of Rolling Stone from 1968 (No'1967s) to 1976. I read every issue cover to cover (they are now in my garage). I was hooked and subscribed myself in 1977. I enjoyed it up until the 1980s, but then found it boring and redundant. Plus the acts they were covering in the '90s sucked. I should

Understood. Was commenting on DC's treatment of the archives before acquired by BMG a few years ago. Hopefully BMG will treat it right with a set of comprehensive releases that he never did.

I think Dave Clark has selfishly held onto the RSG archive as well as his own band's output for way too long. Kids today don't care about this stuff and his audience (meaning customers) are aging. About time. Hope he does it right (slim chance) and releases episodes in their entirety. Watching Allen Klein and ABKCO miss every opportunity on archival releases has soured me on these guys.

OMG - a story using a Stones song as its title? Called "Gimme Shelter"? Why not "Can't Get No Satisfaction" or "You Can't Always Get What You Want" or "Jumping Jack -----" (Fill in the blank) Boring. Lazy. Stupid. Please stop it...

I used to like when the opening acts made it feel like you were seeing a double or triple bill (Van Halen, ZZ Top, The Meters) That ended in 1989 after Living Colour pretty much opened the whole tour. Then they switched to the flavor of the month (Black Eyed Peas? Seriously?) making it seemed like "America's Got Talent." Saw Kanye West open for them in 2006 and would have preferre
