I am probably in the minority here but I saw Journey and George Thorogood open for the Stones in Philadelphia in 1981 and I thought Journey buried Thorogood. Better sound, better energy. Don't like Journey, but I know enough to know when a band is doing a better job. Journey did.

I was there too. John McVie was whacked out of his mind. I remember him throwing down his bass and stumbling off stage. Mick Taylor just shook his head and kept on playing...weird night....

I loved the '81 "Tattoo You" Tour. They were drunk and disorderly, but we were happy to see them after the demise of the Who, Lennon and Zeppelin. The most offensive thing I have ever seen concert wise was the "50 and Counting Snore" featuring the reprehensible Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift duets and the other completely lame acts designed by Mick to make the

The solo records all suck...except for parts of "Talk Is Cheap." Love the band, but they gave up the ghost in 1978...It's been fumes ever since. Face it people, you can never go back home. Seeing a fat Mick Taylor and 77-year-old Bill Wyman made me realize that it his completely over. The band we loved is dead.

When it comes to what is their worst record, BTB is underated. It is the worst collection of songs I have ever heard. It makes "Dirty Work" sound like "Exile." I listened to when I bought it on the day it was released and was astounded at how bad it was. Haven't listened to it since. Suffering through "Anybody Seen My Baby" is like having a root canal. "Sai

The fact that Clapton said Jim Gordon and Carl Radle were the best rhythmn section he ever worked speaks volumes about this over-rated psycho's abilities. Who cares what he likes? He has zero class as a human being.

jamesfdouglas: I agree wholeheartedly. I've been following them since 1976 and seem to be in the minority here about being totally pissed off and turned off by the way this last year went down. Pathetic, souless cash grab. Crappy duets with lightweights. Taylor on only two songs. Uninspired setlists. The Stones died in 1981 but the corpse still twitches.

People here talk about the crazy ticket prices, crappy guests, lame setlists and the under utilization of Mick Taylor, but the media has all but ignored it. They stayed too long at the party and everyone wishes they would go home. A sad end.

Idiot's comment from above: Play music in arenas for us (with 2006 prices-$450 tops with most of the first bowl $150 This kind of acceptance of being totally ripped off is what ruined this tour (along with the mostly bubblegum guest spots) for me and I sat it out. Your gonna top out at $450.00 for a pedestrian setlist by a band coasting on their legacy? You are the idiot they are mar

This special guests crap is so offensive. The fact that such a legendary band would stupe to this is an offense to everybody that followed them from the beginnning. I am ashamed to be a fan for more than 45 years,THEY @#$%& BLEW IT! God, what a waste. Mick Taylor comes back (basically to cover for a geriatric, worthless Keith Richards) and he plays two songs a night? WTF? We get people from &quo

Quote Spodlumt The Rolling Stones died at the end of the 1981 tour... Are you a US citizen ? ...because as a european citizen I would have said 1982 Yes, I am a US citizen. In '81, they toured behind their last great album. 1982 didn't mean anything. That tour is all but forgotten. Hampton in December of 1981 was the end of the road.

The Rolling Stones died at the end of the 1981 tour. What they are doing today with these special guests is truly an embarassment. When they are dead and buried people will marvel at what a stupid move this was.

Why are they limited to contemporary pop artists? Why not have Casey Anthony, Donald Trump, Pauly D or Honey Boo Boo sit in? I just don't get the choices. What gives with this limited thinking?
