In the early escape scene with Hagrid and Harry on the motorcycle zooming through the road tunnel, I swear they pass a red London bus with "Dartford" as the posted destination. Harold

QuoteBritney Somehow I had the pic on page 33 labeled as being from Kansas City. Any thoughts? You're the expert Harold. Britney, KC is similar wardrobe-wise to Nash, but the limited number of KC pics show Keith didn't wear the white choker necklace there. It does appear with KR on page 33. Also the audience-shot pics from Nash help match up band members perfectly with the ER pag

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 So did Keith never wear that incredibly cool striped suit on stage? When you say that Keith wore striped pants and a striped shirt in Vancouver, is that the trousers from the suit? Keith did wear those same cool black-and-white striped pants seen on page 37 on stage in Vancouver. I don't remember a shot where he was on stage with the matching jacket, too. He mig

A fellow STP photo collector (thanks, D) and I have been comparing notes on the venues represented in the Exile super deluxe book concert pics starting on page 32. Some of these Ethan Russell shots are previously unseen. Here's our first draft consensus: 32 (Jagger with hat): Vancouver 33 (stagewide band): Nashville 34 (MJ/KR): out on a limb guess for rarely seen Tuscaloosa!!! 36 (

Quotecopsnrobbers Quote72stones I've never seen a few of those '72 Boston photos before at all. Taylor's hat is the giveaway. We here at copsnrobbers didn't know that good looking out *72stones* Those Boston1 shots were originally posted here: STP Exposed Harold

With the set list thus far adhering to his traditional fare, I wonder what to make of this announcement regarding the Riverside, CA show @ Voodoo Lounge: Mick Taylor former original member of The Rolling Stones Saturday May 15th An Evening of Classic Stones Mick Taylor performing live at the Voo Doo Lounge "Mick" Taylor is an English musician best known as a form

There is a placeholder for "The Official Mick Taylor Site" arriving May 2010 at the old www.micktaylor.com domain. Perhaps another indication of the Exile re-release's positive bandwagon effect. Harold

Trainspottery comment: at 1:18 MJ has on the wavy-lined shirt that MT wore at the Albuquerque STP show. First decent look at this rare garb. Harold

Do other people see Frank tour clips that aren't in CS Blues? For example, the exterior Nashville auditorium shot at about 2:45? Maybe the "making of" special will have plenty of film outtakes we've never seen, including hopefully fresh concert action.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 But even if NS Blues is asking where the show is from; it is already not even one location because Keith shows up with different guitar half way through. The principal footage is indeed the 2nd LA Forum show. The brief cutaway shots from behind the band are the 1st SF Winterland show, which accounts for Keith's different guitar and his red t-shirt. QuoteSmokey QuoteOpenG This seems to be the show from 2002. Odd that the Experience folks would reach back so far for a 2008 release when a recent tour (2007) might be of more interest. ********* Yes, this Red House is from the Street Scene Hendrix tribute in San Diego 2002. Here's a pic I took of MT in action. Harold

QuoteBritney Okay here's one: This is a nice pic, but it's definitely not Vancouver, as MJ wore the black leather here. This denim jacket didn't appear until San Diego and was most commonly seen during the 2nd part of the tour. Also, the Vancouver scarf was very light in color, not the dark one seen here. Here's another Vancouver. Harold

BS was the first single I ever bought. In 9th grade back in spring 1971 our Spanish class from junior high in suburban Maryland took a field trip to see "Don Quixote" on film at a theater in Alexandria, VA. After the theater showing we were give some free time to walk about the nearby stores. I went into a record shop and bought the brand-new single. The love affair began right ther

Although unlikely, Let It Loose could have been played in Houston, as we still lack full recordings of either 6/25/72 show that would make the definitive call on a Sunday rarity tune.

Perhaps the point is that LIB was released in December 1969, after the start of the tour featuring its songs. Exile, on the other hand, was released in time to presage the tour and get songs on the airways and in the stores before June 3.
