Bono just sand a verse from the song. U2 fans call it a "snippet". They do about a dozen during their shows, usually at the end of songs. They don't perform the music, and Bono usually just rattles off a random lyric. Nothing special. You probably wouldn't even have noticed it if you were there.

Rick Rubin produced Mick's solo album "Wandering Spirit". Apparently they clashed on a lot of things. Yes, Rick is amazing - if you haven't heard Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, you are missing one of the finest albums of that decade (and possibly of all time).
