John Lennon once said that if the Beatles had continued to record music they would have eventually ended up sounding like E.L.O. (Electric Light Orchestra). I believe that, seeing as how the surviving Beatles asked Jeff Lynne to produce the two Anthology tracks (Free As A Bird & Real Love) instead of George Martin. Also George Harrison played in the Traveling Wilburys with Lynne.
