They will continue until the day comes when one of the core three - Mick, Keith or Charlie - becomes too ill and slowed down by age to perform. Then THAT will finally be it. I don't care what anyone says - they will never continue without one of those core three.

Jagger is a fine singer when he wants to be , but I've always felt his vocals are so much better in the studio than live. Live, he tends to shorten words and phrases and sometimes sound as though his singing is an afterthought. But in the studio, he almost always hits the mark -- and that's been especially true on recent Stones albums. Whatever your opinions are of 'Voodoo Loung

I love the Kinks, but I'd put the Who ahead of them. After 'Misfits', the only really good album the Kinks put out was 'State of Confusion'. I'd also rank Pete Townshend before Ray Davies as a songwriter. But unlike the Who, they did have the decency to know when to quit.

"Too Tight" is a great @#$%& song. It should have made the setlist LONG ago, along with "Too Tough", that great, unheralded rocker from 'Undercover'.

1) UFO - Strangers in the Night. IMHO, nothing has topped it ! Surprised that more of you haven't mentioned it. 2) Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous 3) Stones - Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out ! If only this would have been the full concert, this would be # 1 easily. 4) Allman Brothers Band - At the Fillmore East 5) Dylan/The Band - Before the Flood 6) Jerry Lee Lewis - Live at the Star Club

All this crap about the Crowes having no classic songs tends to look an important fact. Which is this -- IT"S PRETTY HARD FOR ANY BAND TO HAVE A 'CLASSIC' ROCK SONG THESE DAYS WHICH WILL LAST THROUGH THE AGES BECAUSE ROCK IS DEAD AS A MOVEMENT AND A REFLECTION OF POPULAR CULTURE !!! Face it, guys, it's true. The combination of rap & music videos pretty much killed off

It's hard to have respect for anything related to rap. It killed rock 'n roll as a cultural force and movement, and I will forever hold that against it. Plus I would argue it's not music -- it's a lot of ranting and raving about urban, dysfunctional living.

The Crowes are on tour right now and, from all reports, smokin' the stage.

If that's true, then they are no better than the Who touring without John Entwistle. Somehow, though, I don't believe it --- Keith has said in the past that the Stones agreed to be finished if anything would happen to either him, Mick or Charlie. I guess it's a different story if something would happen to Woody !!

I'd give the Crowes the nod over Aerosmith. Especially after the last two albums Aerosmith has put out.

I was trying to think of what band that is currently out there, or has been around for a while, is best qualified to carry on the Stones' tradition of bluesy, raunchy rock 'n roll should the Stones finally decide to "pass the torch", so to speak. The band that seems best qualified to uphold the tradition, I think, is the Black Crowes. Great blues-oriented/Southern rock tradi

I saw Bill Wyman & the Rhythm Kings on their first and, to date, only American tour a few years back in Milwaukee at the Potawatomi Casino, and they put on a fabulous performance. I would LOVE to see them again, but they only seem to play European dates now. Does anyone know why they don't tour America any more ?

As much as I love The Who, unless they release a new album ...please, no more nostalgia reunion tours ! Now if they get their act together to put out the long-rumoured new studio album, then that's a different story.

Queen was a great band in the '70's who lost it in the '80's and were right on the verge of becoming a great band again in the '90's with 'Innuendo', their last album. Unfortunately, Freddie's death took care of that, RIP. But without Freddie, they are nothing. This tour smacks of pure opportunism and nothing more.

I think he's quite content to become a grizzled, wisened, old saloon country singer in his persona -- and that suits him fine at this point in his life. And, actually, I think his vocals have improved since B2B while his playing & movements have gotten a bit worse and less lively. I notice he doesn't smoke nearly as many cigs on stage as he used to and that, combined with perhaps

Yeah, I think they could satisfy ALMOST everyone if they did three pretty simple things. Unrealistic perhaps, but these three would do it: 1) Have a three-tier pricing system for tickets. Let's say $90 for the best seats, $55 for the so-so ones, and $35 for the nosebleeds. They don't need to charge more than that based on their accumulated wealth and the tough economic times we a
