QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteMingSubu I'd think Charlie would tell them to keep playing. He did. “After all the fans’ suffering caused by Covid, I really do not want the many RS fans who have been holding tickets for this tour to be disappointed by another postponement or cancellation. I have therefore asked my great friend Steve Jordan to stand in for me.” The odds that Charlie actually

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 I think ticket prices will drop over time as well. Between the rescheduling and the "The Wattless Stones" I think much of their tour following has been lost. Especially those coming from overseas How many from overseas are in a crowd of 60,000? 100? 1,000? Sorry, but that won’t make a difference.

The terrible news about Charlie is the only important story. We all wish his quick and complete recovery. The Sun’s paragraph about a new album in 2022 is interesting, however, if true: “The Rolling Stones aim to have him back fighting fit for the band’s big 60th anniversary celebrations in 2022, when they will release their first album of original songs in 17 years.”

Quotebv I will delete anything here not related to Eric Clapton. Also, I don't want to see any more comments on his take on the pandemic. There is a separate thread related to covid-19. It took me A LOT OF TIME to clean up the offensive mess here, all sorts of political rubbish, insults, endless discussions and name calling. Respect please. As always, many thanks and much respect, bv.

I’m not suggesting Clapton’s addictions excuse his conduct. He had terrible addiction problems, which he fortunately beat. Clapton had a very rough childhood story - and has known horrible tragedy. Clapton said and did stupid things in the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s. He apologized for some of those comments. He’s certainly entitled to speak his mind, but his current gibberish, when added to h

QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby QuoteMisterDDDD Unlikely they would banner a postponed tour that has already been bannered. Yeah but the Feb 2020 banners seem like they were almost in a different lifetime now, on a different world from this one. We were Living In A Ghost World for a good while there in between Living in a Ghost World would make a great banner. Or even a tour name.

Let's hope the tour happens. And we can get back to arguing with people who are mistaken and don’t see that “Miss You” has been horribly overplayed.

People, please. The question is not "What's your favorite American rock band of all time?" or "list your 10 favorite American bands." It's "What's the best American rock band of all time?" There would be only two possible answers if the question were "What's the best rock band of all time?" Either the Beatles or the Stones. What

“Don’t force me to get vaccinated. last I checked I have FULL control of what I do or don’t so with my body and I cannot and will not be told by government what I have to do with a vaccine.” So much to unpack in just one sentence. - The United States Supreme Court decided in 1905 that compulsory vaccination laws were constitutional. Go look up Jacobson v. Massachusetts. They held that ind

He’s sad and confused in that interview clip. I’ve seen Eric many times, going back to 1974. I doubt I’ll go to see him again. Playing only southern, red states. Political decision? Only places that wanted him after his latest musical collaboration? Only places where no COVID precautions required?
