Seems 1 disc to consider (disc 2) for almost everyone...collecting is a different animal. Scarlet really is not that enjoyable to listen to. I think I am a pass on this...sure wish had been more...impressive.

I have 2 LD tix for San Diego. On the one hand, I doubt I will use them; on the other, they were cheap. It does seem though that the tour is off and thus refunds should have been/now be issued. However, the system we have chosen to accept to live in does not function this way.

Perhaps I am incorrect, but it seems many are putting their favorite scores rather than soundtracks. I mean, put whatever you want I guess, favorite car, color, number...but they all seem off subject.

Coming Home (made the soundtrack myself - Opens with "Out of Time") Easy Rider The Harder They Come Repo Man (I'm looking for the joke with a microscope) The Breakfast Club deserves a mention. Superfly Purple Rain Some folks put Streets of Fire, it introduced me to The Blasters, and I love the live scenes.

Quotecimaz A real musical genius. I started listening to music with some of his original soundtracks in the 70s ("My name is nobody" for instance). Still listen to them almost 50 years later. The Go Team sampled some of those songs in My Name Is Nobody on their first record Thunder, Lighting, Strike (really just 1 guy - he said he did not want to talk about the samples since he d

Horribly, I never got the 3rd disc (Tell Tale Signs)...maybe one day I will find a copy. Eventually, I will get to hear vol 10, 11, 13, 14 & 15. I would guess like many people, that first 1-3 set just hooked us on every release since...the more robust the better.

In Edinburgh '99 Mick had come off the stage and was walking in front of the rail slapping hands with fans. He turned and started walking my direction (Keith side of course) doing the same, put his hand out to me and as we shook hands he leaned in putting his hand on my shoulder and said "thanks for coming, that's a long way to go." I presume he remembered my face from many

It says a lot about the people here who are looking for any reason to say molesting a child is ok. The trend by these monsters seems to be "what is the lowest possible age I can @#$%& and get away with it." You people expose yourself. Frankly, I am naively shocked at how many child molesters or wanna-be-child-molesters are on this site. Please...keep exposing your ideology h

Just want to ensure I get the rules here. Talking about politics is out. Debating the merits of child molestation is in. BV...please confirm.

QuoteHairball QuoteSighunt I have never been a proponent of the death penalty as a blanket sanction for all capitol crimes (with the exception of cop killers & killing by terrorists), but in this instance, Manson and his followers probably should have gotten the death penalty for their heinous acts against humanity.... They did get the death penalty, but it was overturned when California ch

I mostly do not post anymore b/c a lot of the excitement has waned for me. Following every night's setlist to see the changes seems pointless now (although I still did for the last Europe shows). There do not seem to be real tours any longer, more like Dylan's never ending tours (just with many fewer shows). Before, you had a new album and an associated tour, no longer. Even No Secu

Thinking about LCD Soundsystem...just doesn't look like they put on much of a stage show...the fun seems to be that the audience is so into it. Sorta a New Order light kinda sound...with a little Talking Heads mixed in...but without the Byrne stage charisma.

The sound at The Regent has issues, but the layout is good. The sound at the Roxy has always sounded great when right up front rocking out to another fantastic band in a small venue. I love gigs at the Roxy and love drinking inside at The Rainbow. The Whiskey, well, it is not so great these days. The Teragram is great, but far from where I want to drink (The Rainbow). The layout at

The Echoplex really is a crappy venue, however the BUT is not may favorite Rock club. It's much better for a blues/country sorta set...Dan Hicks was always great there. I really like the BUT, yet for a serious rock gig, Echoplex MIGHT be better (despite being crappy...Teragram/Whiskey/Viper Room/Roxy woulda been a lot better). X at the BUT was great, but still...very weird for the venue

So I do not know much about Bonamassa, but I did go see him about a week ago. I was shocked to see the face value of the tickets were over $200, but I nailed front row for $70 through the touts. I thought he was a good guitar player doing the guitar hero thing, but as others said, his tone misses something and his solos are fairly standard/predictable. I thought the keyboard stuff (Reese Wynan

They have 3 nights booked this month in LA...great venue too. I spun a few tracks last night, checked the live performances too...I was excited to try something new (to me), but I just do not get them. I can hear the influence on erasure/smiths/etc., but I like those bands better.

Hair, you were at URGH? That is one damn fine film and way overlooked. I'm 41 and I still love punk. I'm not sure I love paying $300 for the Misfits at the Forum though... There are SO many great bands that could/can play. X, Radio Birdman, Stiff Little Fingers, Pistols, Misfits, Stooges, Buzzcocks, Cramps...they all have rhythm man (and I'm just tossing out a few)! I'll say that from the videos, their live performance looks pretty tame. Mostly 3 people standing their doing their part. I always enjoy a great stage performance, especially with a rock band...you know, like Mick Jagger.
