What I remember most about that time is being very dissapointed that come the B2B tour a couple years later that SMU was still in the setlist. I did'nt really care so much that they had sold the song but somehow their artistic integrity suffered when it was not retired from live performance. In 1997 I had a bet with a buddy right before Columbus which was the 3rd B2B concert (and not having

Let me start with the Rants. 1.The album sould have come out before the tour start and should hav

I was there right by the b-stage and got high 5's from Ronnie twice. Highlights for me were Sway, ADTL, Mr. Pitiful. I also got to meet Bernard at the Hyatt bar afterwards. He was very cool and nice to all the fans who came up to him. Great concert.

I downloaded this song sometime in the last few months. It's a really cool song. Can someone tell me from which sessions this came out of? Sounds like it might be Voodoo Lounge but the harp reminds me of Some Girls. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is absolutely my favorite song from the Voodoo Lounge era (can't believe this did'nt make the album) My question to those familiar with this song does Jagger sound like he is trying to sound like Keith on the background vocals during the chorus.I don't think Keith is actually singing on this song but I could be wrong. Just curious if anyone else had ever thought the same thing

open-g I missed your earlier post. Most of my memories are shot from that night. I remember the balcony being like a horseshoe. I pretty sure I was on Mick's right. Another interesting story for me about that concert is in 1994 I met someone through my job that I have become good friends with and he also attended that concert. He was a drugged out army dude in 1973 and does'nt remembe

I was at the second show that fateful night back in the fall of 73. It was my first Stones concert and I was totally stoned.I was a new fan and not familiar with all of their material. I do remember that during Billy Preston's opening set I saw who looked to be Mick J.,Mick T. and Bill standing behind the stage jumping around and clapping. I was in the first balcony and had a decent view. O

Let's say this Starbuck's ploy works and Rarities becomes a hit. I don't really expect this to happen but truth is stranger than fiction. Then ABB gets a bump on the charts. The demand is so great for the winter and spring leg of the tour and because they are unable to schedule any additional dates they promise to come back in the fall for more arena dates. Both CDs stay in the top

The word "Epic" does not seem large enough to describe this classic. No song ever written has captured so many emotions both melodicly and lyrically. Gimme Shelter defined the end of the sixties like no other song could. It will live on forever. For many of us it has become the soundtrack to our lives.

One the best ever on SNL. Mick absolutely nailed his impression of Keith Also remember when Mick was on promoting Goddess ( it might have been Wandering Spirit) the mirror scene with Jimmy Fallon. Mick is sitting in front of a mirror in a dressing room before a performance practicing his facial expressions and Jimmy is his reflection. Jimmy starts teasing Mick about his pointy fingers move an

Just listened to a boot version of this recorded in the spring of 74. And while I have never paid much attention to this song before it has really grown on me. The music is a little sparse but it really picks up steam at the end. Mick's vocals are very good with some ragged Keith harmonies that only Keith can do.This is one that should be on their coverlist. It would be fabulous in the 9 o

I was also there Saturday and it was awesome. No it was not perfect but it was probably the best Stones concert I have ever attended. I thought the band and crowd had great synergy. I took friends who were seeing them for the first time and they were totally blown away. They thought the setlist was perfectly balanced between rarities and hits. This was my 13TH concert dating back to the 73 Euro
