QuotePaddy Seeing her do Songbird, solo at the keys was an amazing live moment for me. 18,00 people in the arena and you couldn’t hear a sound. Only her. Really Beautiful. RIP Christine and thank you for that memory. I had the same experience, the same memory. Unforgettable. Drew

QuoteIrix Quotedrewmaster Elton has NOT said it's his "last ever UK show". "We are incredibly excited to announce that Elton John will headline the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night at Glastonbury 2023, for what will be the final UK show of his last ever tour." - . "Final UK show of his last ever tour" is not the same as "last ever UK show".

QuoteIrix Elton John to perform his last ever UK show at Glastonbury Festival - June 25, 2023 - . Again, another media piece with a clickbait headline that does not jive with the actual announcement. Elton has NOT said it's his "last ever UK show". Drew

Nice tribute to Christine in the Atlantic Christine McVie’s Most Miraculous Song “You Make Loving Fun” showed that the late Fleetwood Mac member was a titan in her own right. By Spencer Kornhaber December 1, 2022, 1:24 PM ET The popular image of Fleetwood Mac is of the band as an unstable molecule, its parts best understood by their place in an ever-changing swirl of connections. Absolutely gobsmacked to read this. Christine's voice, her music, her soul and spirit have meant so much to me over the years. A class act, and so talented. Songbird is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded, IMO. And there were so many other wonderful Mac tracks on which she shined. RIP Christine. Drew

Quotecrholmstrom I had to turn the final concert off. To me, exceedingly dull & disappointing. I saw him do "The Million Dollar Piano" in Vegas & that was actually pretty good. Elton told stories between songs & was hilarious. Elton was my first rock show back in 197cough cough. This is easy listening pap for the most part. Just my opinion. Interesting: the first show I saw

Quotetreaclefingers "Elton John Won’t Stop Performing After Farewell Tour, David Furnish Confirms"... Well the headline is misleading clickbait. Furnish doesn't say Elton won't stop. He just says there's "the possibility of a special one-off or a small residency in one venue for a limited period of time." He also says "it wouldn’t surprise me if he d

QuoteDan Sunday afternoon shows are the best. Because I am too tired from Friday and Saturday. Went Thursday. Pretty good. Glad you enjoyed it, Dan! And agree with you 100% about Sunday afternoon shows. As the video below proves, Elton's '75 Dodgers Stadium gig was in the afternoon; why on earth couldn't they do the same this time?? Drew

I would have bought tickets to his final show (tomorrow) if it was an afternoon concert (starting at, say 4:00, not 8:00). Why not start the concert while it's still daylight out, not to mention still warm, with the California sun shining??!? Elton could have played "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" as the sun was setting. And people on the East Coast could have watched it

Great article on Elton's '75 LA concert. Elton John will take his final bow at Dodger Stadium. So let’s time travel back to his legendary 1975 concert By Craig Marks, Music Editor  Nov. 16, 2022 6 AM PT In October 1975, Elton John was the biggest pop star in the world. His last two albums, “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy” and “Rock of the Westies,” had entered

Why does Mick post photos of his private trips, like this? Is he trying to show how "normal" he is ("Can't you see that I'm huuu-mann?"). If so, he is chipping away at the incredible mystique that comes with being (arguably) the most iconic rock star on the planet. I've often imagined what it would be like to be in his shoes, and seeing the reality is much d

QuoteBashlets the studio version was magical. I was 19 and I remember reading about a song called Waiting on a Friend and Neighbors in A Rolling Stone magazine article. people magazine had a photo of Jagger and Hall going to Mr Chows in NYC after Waiting on a Friend video shoot. Several weeks later my local rock station said new Stones single arrives tomorrow so I called out of work and had my

QuoteKRiffhard I love her reaction! Marvelous! The original music video, with Jagger's hilarious antics and outfit, brings Hey Negrita alive, and this girl's reaction-video ratchets it up further. A rather ordinary song (by Stones standards, at least) becomes a fountain of joy. Drew

In every photo I've ever seen of Mick, every Stones show I've been to, every interview I've watched, he looks like he's in amazing shape, physically. It's eerie! Never once have I seen this son of a phys-ed instructor look even remotely like he should lose (or gain) a pound or two. But I'd be curious if I'm forgetting anything. Drew

Androgyny is at the very core of rock and roll, baby. There ain't nothing more rock and roll than Mick's androgyny (or Little Richards' or Elvis' or David Bowie's or in fact most rock stars!). I also feel that Keith embodies rock and roll. More specifically, Keithness = Rock and Roll But is there (or was there ever) anything androgynous about Keith? Drew

Well it doesn't look like Amber will get to keep her cash after all. Judge finalizes jury verdict in Johnny Depp's trial, requiring Amber Heard to pay him millions of dollars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard failed to reach a settlement before Friday's deadline. Quotefirebird It was 10+5 for two different things for Johnny but the 5 was reduced to 350.000 by the judge for some legal reasons I dont't understand. So she owes Johnny 8.35 million You're right. But that's still more money than her entire net worth. Her fortune, her career, and her reputation are all completely destroyed now. Despite all her atrocious acts and her blatan

QuoteKurt Jury members found Depp should be awarded $15 million in damages, while Heard should receive $2 million. Amber Heard's net worth is reported as being somewhere between US$2.5-8 million, and in effect she owes Johnny US$13 million. No one is going to hire her for more movie roles. She will forever be known as "Amber Turd", the woman who shat in Johnny Depp'

QuoteRedhotcarpet Heard is being investigated for perjury. No surprise there but what she really should worry about, is a possible investigation of her abuse. The fake bruises (she accidently confessed to using a ”bruise kit”) etc are probably not against any law. However, selling that fake story to TMZ (yup, she slipped up again) as well as the fake reason for the restraining order (she nee
