Altough I didn't go to any of the 78 tour shows(I was living in Europe), I love the bootlegs of that tour especially Handsome girls. The rolling stones sounded very raw and wild just like a good rock and roll band should! Rock and Roll, Mops

I believe that after he hurt his head in april 2006, his on stage performances were not the same which is understandable. Hopefully for the next tour (2009), keith will be back in very good shape and will rock hard. Rock and roll, Mops

Many of the ten songs have a strong keith's influence it seems. Those songs rock and they all have original sounds.I think that Keith in his prime was after that authenticy in songcraft. Being limited technically, he developed a talent at creating new sounds. Rock and roll, Mops

I am sure that subject has been discussed before but the "TFI friday interviews" by Chris Evans(I think that is the interviewer's name) are the best interviews ever made with the Stones. It is on Youtube in several parts and it's a must see. Those interviews were done around 1999. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOYv-i_umqA Rock and Roll, Mops

I think Keith said a couple of months ago that he wanted to work with the Winos on a couple of songs. May be Jack is going to be involved in Keith's side project. Rock and Roll, Mops

I saw johnny Winter a couple of months ago. He plays seated and it works. Even the fast numbers were exciting. Now Johnny plays small venues and although he is like the Stones at his best when he plays live, johnny unlike Mick and Keith has not build up a reputation on physical stamina. For the stones to change their act would be a challenge; would the big crowd still be willing to come to their s

summer 1977. I knew the Stones before but I bought a greatest hits double album called"Rolled in Gold" in france and started to listen to it every day. At the same time Keith Richards' name was in the press a lot and I began to be fascinated by his public personae. To this day the Stones are ,for me, the best band in rock and roll history. Hey Silver Train has been long overdue. It is my understanding that Mick prefers All down the line so it probably won't happen. I wonder if Keith would be able to replicate the tone and sound of the original rythm guitar. Rock and Roll, Mops

I would like more of Keith Richards input; guitars, backing vocals a la "Mick&Keith".I hope Keith will be back in great shape after the 2008 break. Rock and roll, Mops

The greek said : "they will not hit the road without the quartet of mick, keith, charlie and ronnie" I disagree. They will tour without Ron. I am sure Mick will do everything in his power to help Ron. But if for whatever reason Ron isn't reliable, the Rolling Stones will tour with someone else. I know that would be @#$%& up. Come on Ronnie get well! Rock and roll, Mops

bumbum said: "When Keith had his problems in late 70'ies, Mick was more than pissed and continued working writing music for the Stones. Probably, Mick had continued, if Keith had been sent to jail in Canada." I agreed with you. Mick would have probably even kept the band's name. But I believe Ron is going to get his shit together and if the band tours he'll be th

Don Henley takes himself very seriously( and that's fine with me, I don't care) but the RollingStones I don't think they do. They self-deprecate all the time even acknowledging their limited individual musical skills. They are a bunch of funny chaps;it's only rock and roll, baby. Rock and Roll, Mops

On the "undercover of the night" clip Keith, Ron and Mick seem to play on the same guitar model the "Music man silhouette". Never realise that before. Rock and Roll, Mops

I call myself a fanatic because I hardly have spent a day since 1976 without having a thought about something related to the Rolling Stones. Mostly what interests me is the music and I can handle the critism of their music if it founded and intelligent. The rolling stones life style and their personal problems is entertaining but I take it with a grain of salt. Music comes first. Rock and Roll,

Very nice.Ronnie rocks! I like the segment(1981) where Ronnie runs around the stage and Keith looks at him like "WTF is he doing!!!" Pure Ron stuff! What a lovely goofball. Keep it up Ron. Rock and Roll, Mops

Get well Ronnie. I have been listening to "Slide On This" a lot lately. It is my favorite Ron's album. Ron sings about himself mostly here. He tells about what he loves and what he hates and sometimes the line between the 2 isn't easy to find; he loves is wife and his quiet life but he confesses ; "That ain't rock and roll." I wish you well, you little @#$%& r

"There is a very well known song entitled C......er Blues. It is officially unreleased, but they used it !!! It is the final song they owed to ABKCO before the end of their contract." Having late George Carlin in my thoughts, I started to think about dirty words in Stones songs. The 7 dirty words are : shit, piss, f..k, c..t, c.......er, moth....er and tits. It seems that the "C" word was never used in rolling Stones lyrics Rock and Roll, Mops

To appreciate Rock and Roll one has to believe in it;it is an emotionnal and physical experience. If one doesn't respond to it, the interest will never grow and last. Nowadays rock music is everywhere on TV, radio, DVD, movies etc. . . It is maybe more problematic because R&R has lost of its mystic. People are jaded (I am not). If one is already unimpressed at a young age the interest

My point with "Jumping the Shark" was that with Jimmy Miller and up to "Angie" the Stones musically produced songs that were not "middle of the road." Angie is a great song a cousin of Wild Horses it seems but the arrangement goes grandiose in a way that attracted listeners that otherwise didn't care about the stones. It softened their image. As a good example,

The term "Rock and Roll" may seem dated for some and today's kids probably prefer to use "Rock" to describe the same music. Personally I stick with Rock and Roll because it is an awesome term; it rolls in the mouth. R&R first name was "Rythm and Blues". Although I understand that some may be picky and would make musically a distinction between the genres I

May be Rock and Roll isn't generating as much money as other genres of music but Rock and Roll is still alive and well. I am sure there are hundreds of bands around the world that are dedicated to playing Rock and Roll. If REM doesn't sell out a couple of shows, that is not the end. Rock and Roll is too good to die!!! Musically, I believe, they did the jump with "Angie". Although I love that song, it was musically a departure from their musical direction started in 1968 when Jimmy Miller came on board. For the die-hard fans,it was probably a shock, I mean after Sticky Fingers and Exile, the "sirupy" string arrangement on Angie must have been a surprise for some. It kind of prepared the way
