from listening to outakes or songs-in- progress it seems that Mick's technique sometimes is similar to the stream of consciousness. The spontaneity of the improvisation also results in Mick using simple patterns, repeated many times almost like perverted rock and roll lullabies made to wake us up!! A super song by Ronnie; the music, the words and the musical arrangements just great. I am glad he kept that song for him. Although Ronnie is thought to be a fun guy essentially , he can get serious/deep and he can still deliver. Rockandroll, Mops

Although there are plenty of great US rock bands, I feel like America has been better at producing rock and roll personalities/icons. England has been great at creating hugely important rock bands. Rockandroll, Mops

They have not played together and in-person for a long time but Mick must have spoken with each of them to know if each one is fit and they must all be if they are scheduling shows. They have a little bit of rust to scrape off but they can do it! Rockandroll, Mops

QuotePapo As far as I know, The Beatles invited a crowd of friends to the orchestra recordings for Sgt. Pepper/ A Day in the Life, as well as a film crew, to get some stuff for a possible music video. Sorry to digress but I watched the Zappa on Netflixand Frank says that the Beatles copied him with "St Pepper". I had never heard that before. Rockandroll, Mops

Sunday 06/06/21 I will go to see Lisa Fisher perform in a club. I want to be tested for Covid 19 after I go to the show. How many days should I wait before getting tested? Rockandroll, Mops

I love the Blackberry Smoke; like Lynyrd Skynyrd they take playing music very seriously. You can feel the devotion to that rock and roll music. They have lot of great songs telling stories like country songs do. The guitars sound pretty good, lot of rythm and great chord progressions to support the great melodies that they come up with. A great band. Rockandroll, Mops

I think the Spectrum on Sirius is a very good channel. I have discovered musicians through that channel that I would not have kown otherwise like War on drugs, Michael Kiwanuka, Caamp, Lord Huron, Ragandbone man etc.. I miss a good Stones channel for sure. Rockandroll, Mops

At the beginning of the pandemic the Stones had a channel on sirius starting on 04/29/2020. We knew it was not going to last for a long time and it eventually stopped. If I remember correctly the Stones had a channel on sirius many years ago but it was cancelled. No explanation was given. Rockandroll, Mops

Amazing facts Gazza. Did the setlists had to be modified for the shows without Brian? Or was Brian mostly playing guitar and harmonica in 63-64; in that case, Mick and Keith could have played Brian's parts when needed. Rockandroll, Mops

Listening to the studio original version of HTW after listening to a lot of the singles released before HTW, that in a 1 hour time, it was obvious to me that HTW is that very special song that created the modern sound of the Stones. It is also right there at the beginning of Mick Taylor's musical contribution to the band. Rockandroll, Mops

I remember when I saw for the first time the videos of the Stripped recordings from Japan.I was blown away by how Good that session was. The playing is very very good; on acoustic you can't fvck up. It has to be precise and somewhat delicate. Beautiful work by the stones. Sorry for the digression from subject. Rockandroll, Mops

The Red Devils live "king King" is great but did not sell at all; Jagger was right not to bother releasing a blues cover album at that time. Jagger was very strong and he was rocking hard in the early 90's." Wandering Spirit" is without any question a project that needed to be released. Rockandroll, Mops

I am glad Mick and Dave collaborated on creating new music because the SNL performance(IORR) of 2012 was really fantastic and it was obvious that the 2 musicians had a strong connection through playing kickass rock and roll music. Rockandroll, Mops

I believe that Mick uses his singing voice like some actors approach their roles. For the public they become the characters but it is an illusion. Mick may sound drunk but most likely he is sober although sometimes he may sound sober while being high. Rockandroll, Mops
