I watched the women basketball olympic finale in Paris between the usa and France. Fantastic game that the USA won by 1 point. I think Voodoo is a musically very conservative record( Thank you Don Was). It seems that the early 90's zeitgeist was trying to capture the 70's spirit. Woodoo is great because it sounds very familiar, almost predictable and lots of listeners enjoy that feeling when listening to music. Others don't, they want something new. I love Woodoo Lounge.

Great Show last night; Sympathy was very strong, Gimme Shelter very strong, Midnight Rambler awesome, Honky Tonk Keith on fire! The new songs( more melodicand pop) suffer in a stadium context where the mixing of the orchestra is saturated.
