Best Super Bowl Halftime performance I have ever seen. Stones were superb, a ton of energy!!!!! I vote that the Stones are the Super Bowl halftime performers every year!

Saw them @ MSG summer of 2002 and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen! Zak Starkey (Ringo's boy) has been playing drums for them. IMHO Starkey is the best rock drummer in the business these days.

Looks like the DAC label is putting a lot of the 81 shows out. Which of the newer (meaning not hampton or some of the shows that have been around for years) 81 releases has the best sound? Which of the newer 81 releases has the best performance?

3 D.C. 10/3/05 Tampa 10/19/05 MSG 1/20/06 MSG 1/20/06 was the best IMHO. After the first 2 shows, 1/20/06 far exceeded my expectations.

Next Stones tour all $450.00 tickets come with a free evaluation from a Hair Implant specialist....... If you like to smoke pot go to one of the upcoming Allman Brothers shows @ the Beacon Theater in NYC. You can smell pot burning 2 blocks away. Music is pretty damn good too!!!!!

Was it just me or was Chuck way down in the mix @ MSG on 1/20/06? Chuck seemed to way down in the mix compared to 2 earlier ABB shows I have attended and also boots I've heard. However his 1 solo of the evening (Honky Tonk Women) as they were returning from B stage to the big stage was very clear and discernible. Seems to me based on this that he was/is now turned down in the mix.

Would have to agree with "Chippy" on the EC "Little Red Rooster" performance with the Stones @ Atlantic City 1989 as being one of the best. A stunning solo by E.C. on that one. I suppose that is Linda Ronstadt in the other photo? L.R. is a great vocalist! Any song between Mick and L.R. would have to be great in concert!

Heard that song live several times during the Licks tour so I was never surprised when it's time came during a concert. However 1 poor chap setting next to me one night buried his head in his hands as the song was being played and muttered "the Stones have turned in to a lounge act."

Saw Cream at both the RAH in May and @ MSG in New York in October. I personally thought the RAH shows were much better. After the first MSG show I was not sure that they had rehearsed at all since the RAH shows and Clapton appeared to be disinterested. That said the RAH shows were great IMHO! As for a lethargic crowd at the RAH well that's what you get when folks are paying the enormous

With concert recordings if the resulting tape source was crap then it results in crap on CD. Crap in - then the result is you get crap out.

If you think the hair was thin at MSG '05 then you should check out the photos from the May 10 Julliard Music School event. I think Implants or maybe Extensions between those 2 shows. Since the May 10 gig always wears the Do-Rag/Poltus or Hat.
