Paul Stanley, Chubby Checker, Johnny Mathis, and Bobby Vinton are all in Atlantic City the same night as the Stones. Take your pick.

Just the typical copyright info like on a regular CD. Yes, the Stones songs are credited to ABKCO.

I came across this while reading an article about the latest inductees into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. I never knew so many greats came from GA (Ray Charles, James Brown, Otis Redding, Allman Bros, etc.) Sure enough, Chuck Leavell was inducted in 2004. His bio from the site: Chuck Leavell has been pleasing the ears of music fans for over 30 years now. His piano and keyboard work ha

Surprisingly, not too bad. Hallmark claims they are "CD quality." At least you can identify the song with no trouble. They are actual song clips, not just instrumental knockoffs.

I was buying birthday cards today and noticed that Hallmark has these new "Say It with Music" cards that play a sample of a song when you open the card. They had several Stones songs, including Jumpin' Jack Flash, Let's Spend the Night Together, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Get Off of My Cloud, Time is on My Side, and 2 versions of Satisfaction. One of the sentiments was even cal

Of the 3, Conan has the best taste in musical guests. He even had Neil Young for an entire week earlier this year. He's less insulting than Letterman and especially Leno but Conan has made fun of Keith several times in that bit where he gets the faces with someone else's moving lips on the TV screen. They've imitated Keith as a stereotypical incoherent addict a time or two.

You're not the last but definitely one of the few. A good friend of mine loves Heep. We saw them play live 5 years ago when they were reduced to opening for Mark Farner at a rib festival. They played a whole 8 songs. Not very impressive considering that was my first and only time seeing them. We did get to meet the band afterwards though.

Uriah Heep was cool in their day. America is clueless when it comes to Heep.

Tonight is the opening night of the Who tour in Philadelphia, and I just got this email. Some of this sounds familiar, does it not? THE WHO WORLD TOUR ADDS 14 NEW DATES IN NORTH AMERICA The Who have added 14 new dates to the North American leg of their world tour. The dynamic force behind The Who, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, will be visiting cities across North America. The Who

Pollstar now has Alice Cooper listed as being in Reading, PA on October 27 so count him out for Atlantic City. Alice will be in Atlantic City to do his own show on the 28th as will Alice in Chains (different venue), coincidentally enough. Maybe a meeting of the Alices is in order. That would be interesting.

Black and Blue had one of the best, that is to say most tasteful, covers of all the Stones LPs. One of my earliest Stones memories is seeing the Black and Blue cover shot available as either a Tshirt or a poster for sale in the ads in the back of a comic book.

I also enjoy the live version as it appears on both Get Yer Ya-Yas Out and in the Gimme Shelter movie. Does anyone recall the movie "Night Shift" from 1982? I seem to remember a scene where Michael Keaton is listening to a live version of JJF in his car. Is that one from Love You Live maybe?

Here in PA the classic rock station plays the first Boston album, Steve Miller, and Kansas more than anything it seems. Someone there must be stuck in 1976.

Perhaps they could do like Eric Clapton does with his annual run of dates at the Royal Albert Hall. They could play a series of dates at one venue and perform a variety of setlists to be captured for posterity on DVD. If it were in London, that should make it convenient enough for them.

He sounds like just another bitter old man. Miller is less than 3 months younger than Mick (born October 5, 1943). That's it. He probably wishes he could still move like Mick. He had a few good songs in the 70s but I really despise The Joker. That has to be one of the most annoying songs ever.

Legendary Miller, Allmans rock a whole new generation of fans By Jed Gottlieb Thursday, August 17, 2006 Steve Miller doesn’t mince words. “The Rolling Stones are posers,” the 62-year-old Miller said. “When you go see the Rolling Stones, most of it is Mick Jagger bouncing around onstage. Flabby arms, pasty white skin, shaking his 65-year-old ass (he’s 63). I’ve seen the Rolling

40 Licks suffers from the inclusion of the 4 new songs on disc 2. If anything, they should have been included as a bonus EP. I really hate when the backup singers keep repeating "satisfaction" when the band drags that song out as the encore. So annoying.
