nikkibong! Grammatical error alert! I (should be capitalized)'d like to see the set-list, (comma goes here) but I (capital) don't see it working as an encore. No need to thank me.

Nikkibong! Thanks for the austere observation. Spelling seems ok. Punctuation was off. Did not realize it was your night to grade us here on our posting. But after reading some of your dull comments on other peoples post here I can see why you have some much time on your hands. Keep up the good work!

With all the speculation on what will happen with charlie here, the solution is to go back to way they toured '69-'82. What? One month in'69. 10 months later 6 weeks in Europe. This was followed 4 months later by a handful of dates in Great Britian. 18 months later, a 2 month tour of North america. Then what? 5 months after that, a month tour of the Pacific. 6/7 months later, a 2 m

LIS is one of my favorites. Suck on the Jugular belongs on Goddess in the Doorway. Horrible song. VL was Keith's baby. Just listen to the Voodoo Brew/Stew/Residue set. VL would have been a better CD with songs like Honest Man and Zip mouth Angel. Left off SOTJ and MD. IMO.

Cindy C! Johnny Horton was killed by a drunken driver following a concert in Austin Texas. He was 31. Trivia time: His widow was also Hank Williams's widow. Billie Jean Jones Williams Horton. Stonestod! My fault on the misspelling. Thank you for taking the time to point it out. I will see to it that someone forces me to listen to some Rap music. Sufficient?

Cindy C, I still have all of Johnny Horten's records. He was my favorite growing up. I can't believe someone here even remembers him. Way to go! "North to Alaska" is a great song. I was crushed when I heard he was killed. Wow, Johnny Horten here on IORR. A true trip down memory lane. By the way, my 11 year old loves, "You can't always get what you want".

For more info go to connection here on IORR. Click on RS.com. Go to Virtual Ticket.(Just in case any one here is not aware). When I last checked no one had posted any comments on the show. I have been curious as to what song they would use as a opener when they come back this fall. Satisfaction is a good choice. Last used in "97/'98.

Just saw this on Rolling Stones.com. They started the show with Satisfaction. Good/strong song list.

Unfortunately, you are correct. As a matter of pride, I'm sure the Stones are disappointed in ABB sales. I am not really up on today's pop market, but, if groups like KC and the Sunshine band could have hits with sophomoric lyrics, then........I guess today's music has left me behind. I'll stick to the Stones, The Who, Zeppelin, Blues.....stuck in the past? Relic?

The point is WDWGH is a catchy song. sceneacts stated it best in his post. When you look at the Pop scene thru the years, songs with good hooks are the ones that reach the top of the charts. This is one of the reasons there has been so many one hit wonders. Today's youth market would love this song, IMO. A bit tongue in cheek ala IORR.

Love the Who! Hope they release a new CD this year. Think you can post the Live at leeds? Would love to hear the orginal.I saw Moon and Townshend with Clapton back in "74. Moon and Townshend came out for Clapton's encore. The best part of an other-wise boring show. When the two of them came on stage, they blew the roof off of the place. A great moment.

BTW. Since when was Rock and Roll a Adult format, stoned_in dc? Elvis and the Beatles were not about adult themes. I'm 52 and still enjoy "Hound Dog" "Love me do" and the best teen anthem of them all "Satisfaction".

If, the Stones want the youth appeal, DWGH! LIND and LMDS are both great. Wish tey would play them both in concert. Maybe on the next swing this fall we will get to hear them.

stoned_in_dc! Enjoy your posts. A little jovial sparring makes us take notice. None of us can/will like the same things. Speaking of Childish lyrics, "IORR but, I like it." I did not like this song for years, now its one of my favorites. Love the live version better the studio one. Guess it "matured".

The Stones appeal is the "don't want to grow up" attitude. "WDWGH" captures that appeal. Not the greatess song by them. I've notice that a lot of younger friends of my son (he's 23) seem to like that song when they've heard it, even singing along with it. This is the only song on ABB that got that can of response. My 11 year old daughter even likes it. Most

No more childish than RJ's "one of your cocks"? Or TPIE's "bare your breasts"?

I like all the new songs from 40 licks. Keys to your love is rapidly becoming a lost classic,IMO. Would love to heard the other songs from the sessions. One song that Chuck Leavell said was a one of his favorites by Keith is called Smooth 180. Hopeful, we will one day get to hear these songs. This was the last time they recorded as a band.

I love this song. They should have included this on ABB. IMO, it should have been released as a single. Reminds me of the Faces. It is a catchy tune, would sound great live. Like Honest Man, Zip mouth angel, Strictly Memphis and Under the radar among others not released or on a cd....... what were they thinking?

Baffles the hell out of me that Honest man and Zip Mouth Angel have never been released. Two of the better songs from the VL sessions.

I was not referring to a time frame. The Stones themselves use songs that are years old. Waiting on a friend and Slave on TY, for instance. I love Main Offender,Demon is one of Keith's better songs. Still, I would choose Talk is Cheap as the better of the two, IMO..........

Between wandering Spirit and Talk is Cheap, is a GREAT lose Stones CD.
