Turner Field in Atlanta. My favorite Stones's concert. Not only were they in top form that night, they were (the Stones)ENJOYING themselves! All of them grinned the entire night.I've seen the Stones a dozen times, this night they seem to be having as much fun (if not more) as the audience.Guess we need to start a new thread "Stones enjoying themselves".Interaction and enthusiam

i too, was at the Ga. Dome show in 1997. agree with you about it being the show that St. Louis was supposed to be.i also loved the version they played at the Omni in Atlanta in 1975,Mick spinning in a circle around the entire lotus stage during the opening chords of GS still one of my favorite moments that night.(among many others)

i think you have missed the point.RON Wood and Keith Richard play together! when Mick Taylor was with the band Keith had to play mostly rhythm.he and Woody gel. i love to listen to Taylor's solos but, nothing beats Keith and Woody's playing together. besides, what has Mick Taylor done since '74? i ready thought that when he left we had a superstar in the making. as i mention earlie

i don't think the Stones would still be together had Mick Taylor stayed in the group. Ron Wood has contributed to this band's longevity in more ways than his musicianship.the Stones have held Woody back. (look at his body of work before the Stones) his commitment to this band is highly commendable. i believe Mick and Keith are very aware of this.

from what i've been able to conclude, Ronald Wood has been the catalyst that has kept the Stones from "falling to the wayside". at least one of them.the Stones are true survivors, proving there is more than just music to there longevity. losing not only Mick Taylor but among others Ian Stewart, Brian Jones, Nicky Hopkins, Jim Price, Jimmy Miller the list is endless.as stated before,

to put things in perspective: Mick Taylor last played live with the Stones in 1973. 32 years ago. if, we were raving over solos played 32 years ago in 1973, they would have been played in 1941. i loved Mick Taylor with the Stones.the first time i saw them was in 1969.but, he left the band. life goes on. personally i perfer Ron Wood.when he joined we got Keith back as a soloist. when i saw them in

i would like to see the stones open with "Gimme Shelter". for effect and mood, i don,t think you could pick a better song. a wonderful closer would be "Tumbling Dice". i think they did close with "Td" a few times on the licks tour.
