QuoteRocky Dijon QuoteGumbootCloggeroo How exactly do you guys want Mick and Keith to interact on stage? Do you want to see them blow kisses at each other? Do you want Mick on his knees simulating oral sex while Keith solos? Do you want them to highfive each other after each song? What do you want? Munichhilton makes an excellent point. As for Gumboot's remark, I take it you don't

QuotePhilipStaniforth My mum saw them 23rd October 1963 in Nottingham, England. She saw the Stones by accident as she had actually gone to see the Everly Brothers. Her only recollection is of a scrawny little bloke singing "I want to be your man" which she found quite amusing. Your mum just beats my dad he saw them on the 26th at the Gaumont Theatre, Bournemouth. He was working at

Quotedeeppurple 1969. Auburn Alabama. Drove up from Florida with a few friends. I was 15 and still remember how cold it was. Stuffed a newspaper in my jacket till we were inside. It was the second show. No recording has surfaced. Changed my life. Nothing was the same after. Hey I need to speak to you about this gig.

Quotetalkcheap QuoteStonesTod QuoteTravellinMan If Mick Taylor had not left the Stones then Keith would have died in 79. Ron would have been selected to replace Keith. so it would be woody just being happy to be anywhere now? and taylor would be the guy dating and marrying anyone who winked at him? Very funny! Neither of those things would of happened. There is no Rolling Stones without Ke

Quoteslew I've seen the Stones 14 times and have heard Wild Horses twice. They do not play it all that often and I would like to hear it more. Plundered My Soul would be great to hear. I love that song but James F Douglas is right the average music fan does not know it. I think it depends on which tours you've seen them on and as to which country you're in to an extent. I

A little treat for those of you that love the lotus! Sorry about the image quality, I took these a while ago with my old iphone 3GS as you may know the camera quality wasn't great on that model. Anyway I will take some better photos at some point. Now its just a case of tracking down the rest of them to complete the set!

Slightly OT but what about the 1862-1863 tour anyone remember that? It took much longer to get about in those days so a tour of America would last over a year. The tour was cut short at the end of 62 due to them being unable to get equipment in from England because of the blockade and there was a shortage of mules and horses for transporting all of the equipment at the beginning of the tour. But

I heard some the founding fathers sang backing vocals at some of the shows, anyone know if this is true? And apparently the liberty bell was used at one of the shows.

This has turned in to the best post ever! Maybe the theme of the next tour should be based around the 1792 era, that would just be amazing! just imagine some of their stage outfits.

Quotedrbryant I saw them in Hawaii in 1793. They were great, but I don't think they caught the Beatles until the turn of the 19th century. Did George Washington do the introduction before they came on stage at any of the shows during the 1792 tour? You know like Bill Clinton did at The Beacon as seen on Shine a Light.

QuoteEleanor Rigby well make me a happy man and confirm it. the fact that there's no news articles makes me sceptical... Ever found a news article on Auburn? Only a poster exists that was seen on the Antiques Road Show. No recordings have ever shown up out of the 2 shows. Based on that I would say that the San Diego matinee doesn't seem any less likely to of happened. Also may I add

QuoteEleanor Rigby i would say no...there is no 2nd show. nothing has surfaced, no-one can confirm they played or was there to give an account. as much as i would love to hope, i think it's best we put this to bed. there is a chance it was planned, but later canned. There's a poster, Bill Grahams database, Ron Schneider and this article History of Stones concerts in San Diego

Quotehbwriter Stanley Booth's book is pretty clear on San Diego - an evening charter plane from burbank - they see the lights of disneyland, etc - so there'd have been no time for a second show - he describes it as a basic hit and run deal - fly down - play -fly back to burbank Yes this has been raised before, but Stanley also had got a couple of other things wrong in the book apparen
