If Mick Taylor hadn't left the Stones, Ron Wood could have been a mainstay in Bob Dylan's touring band. Then, instead of complaining about how his leads aren't as good as Taylor's, we'd complain about his leads not being as good as Robbie Robertson's.

>then in the early 60s he thought the same again and THEN he apparently walked about hide park in 69 "wondering how he >can join this band "!
I still wonder how he managed to wander around Hyde Park and playing in New York City on the same day.

Well,
to answer the original question, the way it was posed...
Ron Wood would have reunited/joined The Beatles and we all would be on the Beatles message board since IORR would never have been created.
Paul, Ringo, and Ron would still be touring.
We would be bitching about the warhorse-filled Beatles setlists and the exorbitant ticket prices, especially when you compare them to Mick Jagger's solo concert pricing structure.
God Bless Ron Wood.

If Mick Taylor had not left the Stones then Keith would have died in 79. Ron would have been selected to replace Keith.
so it would be woody just being happy to be anywhere now? and taylor would be the guy dating and marrying anyone who winked at him?
Very funny!
