Quoterunaway Sam Cutler was around at the time and did the San Diego nov 10 1969 RS introduction Maybe He knows about the 12th of november 1969? Sam Cutler; Gimmecutler.com You mean the 11th, yeah I've also spoken to Sam Cutler about this and he's not 100%. But apparently in the Bill Graham archives it is listed but I don't know of anyone that can confirm this.

There is evidence to suggest that a matinee show took place. I have spoken to Ron Schneider who was in charge of their financial affairs(for those of you that didn't know) on the 69 tour. He remembers having an extended stay in San Diego, the show in Phoenix on that day was an evening show and they had a plane chartered out of San Diego. There is even a poster from the show on the 10th that

Seems to be many gaps in the Stones concert history. But it is a good source for set lists and finding out about alleged shows. Great way to keep an online record of all the shows you've been to. Wish more people from this site would use it, maybe one day somebody might even confirm being at the San Diego 11 Nov matinee show in 69 that was meant to of taken place! Setlist.fm Rolling Stone

Quoteoldschool Yes I thought this was too good to be true so I questioned him on the SB part after I posted his announcement here and he verified it unfortunately not a SB recording. Stuart's source still claims it does not have the speed problems the common source has, different tape source or has speed correction Vox mentioned?, so that alone would be a major upgrade and it will be c

I haven't seen the Stones play in the UK since 2003, the key is to go abroad, much cheaper always paid peanuts for tickets and always got a really good position. I'm hoping they'll be some european dates next year as this is what I plan on doing again.

Quotemitchflorida1 I doubt if Jagger even thinks the Stones were better than the Beatles. Yeah maybe because he's not such a big head tosser as Paul McCartney is!!!

Quotepinkfloydthebarber can't really compare the two (because they were different) but if realism is what you're looking for, then yes, the stones win stones were gritty, raw and blues; beatles won moms over with their nice pop, although their pop got more sophisticated 60s: beatles put their smiling faces on album covers, stones put pictures of toilets on album covers and still

QuoteFrankM They both put out tons of great music but to me The Stones were better. The whole Beatlemania thing was a giant wave that the Beatles rode until the end. By 1966 they were so popular they could have released any halfway decent song and it would have zoomed to the top of the charts. Let It Be (the album) was very weak imo for a Beatles album but since it was recorded before Abbey Ro

Quote24FPS The Stones didn't become Super Stars in the States until their 1972 tour Are you serious? Did the 69 tour and Altamont pass you by or something? 1000's and 1000's of people travelling across America, flying in from as far as New York etc just to attend a free show.

QuoteGumbootCloggeroo QuoteNasty Habits As for output let's use 65 as an example that year the Stones released 4 albums, 3 number 1 singles and did 11 tours. There's never been a more hardworking band. That's what being a musician is all about, not just sitting in a Studio. 4 albums? You're counting the UK and US versions as separate albums? Okay. In that case, The Beatles rel

QuoteHis Majesty First and only stones gig, Wembley 1995... the initial buzz of seeing them wore off soon enough and I felt quite bored. It was not The Rolling Stones really. All I can say is you can't of been anywhere near the front! I was at 2 Wembley shows 11th & 16th it was the week before I turned 18. They were my first Stones shows and both were totally awesome!

This thread and previous threads on this matter are pointless and utter bullshit. If it is true then it's some very good miming on Keith's part surely at some point there would be a cord or a riff played while Keith's fingers were nowhere near the fretboard and he would become exposed! And as a point I saw the Stones play Brno in 2007 and from memory I don't think I saw Blondi
