I called eventim and two local ticket sellers and say all told me the same. cologne and frankfurt are close to sellout. Only distant seat tickets are available, especially for cologne. With Berlin you can checkout the "Saalplanbuchung" at eventim which shows you all the seats that are sold out and those which are still available.

Cologne is almost sold out. Only Tickets for the the North tribune. It well soon be totally gone. Same with Frankfurt. Berlin is about 70% sold out. Leipzig seems to be selling poorly...

U2's popularity remains a mystery for me. Calling them the "world's biggest/greatest band" must have been the result of desperation to avoid giving this credit to the Stones in their fifth decade. Every U2 concert visitor should be warned of the risk of getting serious depressions when listening to their melancholic music. Seeing them live only the volume of the sound prev

Just wait until all 2006 US tour dates are done then the figure will be $200 mio. It's simply oustanding. And then still all European/Japan/South American dates to come. This tour will cross the $400 mio. border. Like the Voodoo Lunge tour grossed $120 mio. in the US and a total gross of $320. If the same applies to the BB tour this tour is going to gross like $500 mio. OMG :-/

Just wait for the gross figures of the Stones next year. It will be in the same league, maybe better. I read that the BB Tour was estimated to gross approx. $400 mio. dollars as well. With these ticket prices I have no doubts that this will happen. Btw, the audience records of VL and SW are untouchable. No other artist will ever play to a PAYING audience of almost 7 mio. people worldwide.

Some Girls has sold more than 9 mio. units for sure. Also Hotrocks. But it is entirely impossible to track down the worldwide sales of their 60's and 70's records. Only estimations can be made. I guess all of the Big Four albums should have reached the 10 mio. mark easily by now.

I still can't see 3,5 mio. people standing in front of a single stage. Even with 80.000+ at a field concert it can be quite hard to get into a concert feeling, BUT 3,5 mio.?! What a PA does it take to give a satisfying sound to everyone??

No, that's from Guiness Book Of World Records: Largest Free Rock Concert Attendance: Rod Stewart's free concert at Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on New Year's Eve, 1994, reportedly attracted an audience of 3.5 million.

I guess HighwireC is right. We continously underestimate the Stones management, headed up by Cohl, but in the end they always make the tours the top grossing act of the year, manage to play to an audience of 3.5+ mio people no matter at how extreme the ticketprices are, and they achieve to make most venues sold out or at least packed to capacities of 95%+.

Yes you are right. We all panic too much I guess. On the latter tours there was never a rush demand for the Stones tickets. By now people know that there is no need to buy Stones tickets in the first hour of the first public sales day. This time ticket prices make it a bit tricky of course, but let's see and wait. If all else fails the Stones have to cut down the ticket prices to fill the v

7.5 mio. sounds even better. I just copied and pasted figures from georgelicks. Btw, this time they would have been clever to say at least this would be their last huge stadium tour. This would have make sells a lot easier. Stones Tours Attendance: - 1989/90 - Steel Wheels 6.250.000 (3.200.000 US, 2.550.000 Europe, 500.000 Japan) - 1994/95 - Voodoo Lounge 6.570.000 (2.650.000 US, 2.

Good point. It unreal how many people the Stones play to each tour. The most amazing figures are from SW/UJ, VL and B2B tour. 6,25 mio, 6,6 mio and 5,7 mio. Approx. 18,5 mio people with only 3 tours. I doubt anyone will ever top that. And the ticket prices were always high at that time, of course not in comparison to the ABB tour rip-off prices. But Stones concerts were always a very expensive e

lol, I found a chart in the EU where ABB is higher positioned than RW's album: in Greece lol. ABB is #8, 11 weeks in the charts, RW is #20!

Maybe I was using the wrong word by saying "ruining". I just wanted to say, as someone did before, that many people go and see RW at affordable prices rather than the Stones at kingsize prices. That's were I saw the connection between RW and Stones. But even if the Stones would have reasonable prized tickets I think RW would still interfere with them.

Hi! Just wanted to know what the current worldwide sales for ABB are? Did the Special Edition boost the sales a bit? Can you also give me current sales for Madonna and RW? I always check , but those numbers don't watch what the media reports. For instance Madonna sold 1.377.200 copies in the first week according to this list, but media reports worldwide sales between 3.5 and 4.1 mi

God, I can't hear this name "Robbie Williams" anymore. He's a good entertainer, but he doesn't play music that changes the world or influences other acts. It's just solid pop, some nice melodies and that's it. No depth in his songs and he always needs a songwriter with him. He can't write a good album on his own. Just look at the deterioration from "Es

I never really understood why the Stones didn't ever record a tour DVD at those places with amazing crowds like Spain, Argentina, Holland. The worst audience I ever saw on an official Stones DVD was the B2B show '97 in St. Louis. My god, was this audience lame. Live At The Max is an exception. The crowds were very enthusiastic!
