At the Irish Bar, John O'Reilly hoisted his beer and said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, between the legs of me wife!" That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night! He went home and told his wife, Mary, "I won the prize for the best toast of the night." She said, "Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?"

Gazza, Not so much because there really isn't any black bands anymore. Black artists are either solo acts or rap groups and everyone knows that they are either posing (P Diddy) or singing about the 'hood and that gets old pretty quickly. I think thier shelf life isn't long enough for them to get to that point. Of course LL CoolJ is still having fun and sounds great. Who else is th

They were great in the mid to late 80s but like most white bands that get successful, they took themselves to seriously and got political and stopped having fun. They suck now. Boring.

Doxa, I agree with Potted Shrimp. I have a number of orginal recordings (10" vinyls) by Elmore James. He did cut Dust My Broom a few times. I have a copy with horns and without (which I like the best). YOu can't go wrong with "Blues Masters" release of Elmore James. Get some Jimmy Reed as well.

Enjoy it now bro.................it's all down hill from here! Esky's new posts will be about wedding plans.....how many Stones songs can we fit into the ceremony? Is GunFace a good song to march up the aisle to? Will Esky's wedding vows include the rap Mick did on Satisfaction during the 1969 tour? Can he get the Hell's Angels as bridesmaids? Will he marry in St Tropez?

I doubt the new disc will even be out by then. I also doubt that they would play Fenway. I mean Spriongsteen did but I think he attracts a slighty different crowd.I( went to his show and the crowd was very tame. They would probably play Foxboro (where the Patriots---- THE WORLD CHAMPION PATRIOTS!)play like they did on the last tour.

ok...how bad is this? I went to Studio 54 when I was in High School- 1978. I went with a friend of mine and our girlfriends. The girls opened up their shirts to show off their boobies so we could get in. The place was unbelievable! This disco queen named Sylvester tried to make out with my buddy. The guy is still scarred from the incident. I went back in the 80s and saw Michael Jackson, Dianah

yup.....44 years old. Loved disco back in high school. Can't you just see keith in a hotel room with his scarves draped all over the lamps and high from smack and blow trying to figure out the bass line from that song? Then standing up and doing the Hustle?

Hey Hound Dog......why do you care what other people think of Americans? I'm American and I don;t give a f#$k what people think becuase they don;t live here and they don't know what it's like so their opinions are uninformed and therefore quite useless.. If I were to bash the Brits without ever living there, then I would be wrong to do so. Where the hell is Diedre? Still on her

My wife (who is a VERY casual Stones fan) pointed out that Fingerprint File on Love You Live reminds her of Donna Summer's Love to Love You Baby. We listened to both and there are similarities. Scary

What I meant by "posers" is that they portrayed a VERY strong image that was manufactured for them and by them. They were "acting" violent and sounding violent but in real life (post recording int he studio or after a show) they weren't. They went back to their decent hotels and got hammered and laid.I mean, there is nothing wrong with that. It made 99% love them. Ther

A friend of mine sent me this disc today. It came with no cover art. It sounds like Brussels 73 and at the end of the second disc it has an interview with Mick, Charlie, Peter Cook , and Dudley Moore talking about IORR. What can people tell me about this disc. It sounds like it was suposed to be a radio broadcast or something.

MLC, I agree about the guitar solos, they are some of the best studio solos Mick Taylor recorded. I simply saying the keyboards really bring this song to it's hights.

Before >leaving she says to the clerk, "I hope you don't mind my asking, but how >old do you think I am?" > >"About 32," is the reply. &g

I happen to like this performance.I find that the banter in between songs is uninspiring but the music is great. With the exception of 2-3 songs, the music kicks. I think the lack of good crowd noise is kind of a downer. It's almost liek listening to a rehersal disc

I have both. There is a noticable sound difference. YOu can really hear Keith's "yea" at the end of BS and his grunt at the begging od CYHMK. Winter sound really cool and on Star Star, you can really hear all of the different guitar tracks.

It's interesting to think what their sound would have been if Altamont hadn't happened and they hadn't dropped the whole macho, evil thing. Their sound certaining changed quite a bit from 69 to 70-73. It was almost like they were a hard rock band in 69 with a real tough image (using the Hell's Angels twice) to a sort of cabaret/soul "act".
