QuoteBig Al Tattoo You is not a compilation. It wasn’t marketed as one and no-one, other than yourself, ever refers to it as being so! It is. Similar to the SG-Bonus-CD. Old songs reworked, only one or two songs were originally recorded for TY as far as I know. Mostly early-mid-70s stuff, some ER-leftovers. No regular album.

QuoteWinning Ugly VXII They performed "Thief in the Night" at every second concert in '98 without any riots. Rotating with "You Don't have to Mean It". Very often in '99 as well. The same goes for "Infamy" during the first long stretch of the 2005 tour. Also no riots. Audiences seem to tolerate Thief In The Night or Infamy if it´s combined with o

QuoteGasLightStreet But... Start Me Up was track 1 on TATTOO YOU. Their last non-LP single was Honky Tonk Women. Start Me Up isn´t really a album-track like for instance Love Is Strong because TY isn´t really an album. It´s more of a compilation. I would say Highwire was their last non-LP-single, i think it was out long before Flashpoint was released. Doom and Gloom I think was also av

QuoteTravelinMan Mick Taylor’s solo albums have plenty of blues and rock. He never strayed away from his roots. So much of this anti-Taylor stuff is garbage. If Jeff Beck joined the Stones they would have crashed and burned like a Stone Zeppelin. MT has made more than one solo-album? Jeff Beck & MT should have joined forces. They are two of a kind noodlers. Another similarity: Like

That was a big problem indeed - the Riffmaster not at the height of his abilities and a non-Stones-like sounding smooth and fluid playing guitarrero trying to take over the band. Had taylor stayed, the band would have crashed within a year or two, maybe earlier.

QuoteStoneage QuoteTD76 YGTS was the one unfortunately that sent fans to the exits Yes, are we allowed to talk about that? How boring and predictable the Keith set is? Even his banter is predictable. But of course we are expected to cherish the lack of ambition here. Yes indeed, it´s awful boring. But imagine the riot of disgusted fans if he would play Thief In The Night and Infamy (worst ca

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteHMS Exile has some of their best songs ever but also at least five floaters and Torn And Frayed, although not actually a floater does not belong to Exile´s best songs. It is what it is - average Stones. There´s not much to complain about Torn And Frayed, but although there´s nothing to praise. Compared to the best Exile-songs it is pale and very easy to overlook. QuotePhillyFAN MT is gone. The band rolls on without him. And the band imo rolls better without him, in hindsight MT became more and more a brake pad for the band, one can hear soome fine examples for that on GHS/IORR. Maybe yet another album with MT would have killed the band. He literally sucked the energy out of the band. The energy returned with Ronnie´s arrival.

Maybe YGMR has won due to voting fraud activity, but still I am glad that terriblehorribleridiculousbad OOC wasn´t the winner. I wish OOC would be buried deep on some forgotten deserted island so nobody would ever find it again. There are only a few songs that make me ashamed of being a Stones-fan, OOC (alongside Saint Of Me) is one of them. YGMR is sparkling with energy and untamed power and

I do not expect them to write and record 12 excellent songs within eight months, not even within two years.... But: It seems almost impossible that the two of them were not able to come up with at least one good song per year since 2005... If an artist does not manage to write one damn good song per year then he is artistically dead and gone... They are still a energetic, someimes even superb li

Sad Sad Sad, Harlem Shuffle & Mercy should be played every night instead of only throwing only one of them in here and there. And they should forget about Angie & Dead Flowers (big yawn). Throw in latter day´s best - Love Is Strong, Flip The Switch, One Hit To The Body, YGMR, Had It With You, Rough Justice, Rain Fall Down, Doom & Gloom.

Quotevirgil If they play Sad Sad Sad it will be a sad day IMHO. A cheeesy 80’s song. there´s absolutely nothing cheesy about Sad Sad Sad. A great song, as good as any rocker from, say, Exile. The only 80s thing about Sad Sad Sad is the fact that it was recorded in the 80s. But it doesn´t sound like 80s at all, not at all. I am delighted that they played it yesterday and I hope it remains in th

YGMR would be the best choice. Better than this 100% MJ-solo-song-crap of OOC. YGMR has it´s place among their most finest rockers and is tailor-made for stadium audiences.

QuoteWelshEdge1 QuoteHMS This unfortunately is one of the songs that prevents EOMS from being a masterpiece. Whaaaat?! Date: November 9, 2015 12:09 This song - among others on Exile - always kind of bores me. I dont skip the song when listening to Exile, but rather go through it instead of enjoying it. One of the weaker spots on Exile. Listening to Torn & Frayed gives me the same fee

I bet they will play both Midnight Rambler and Brown Sugar. No way they gonna drop Brown Sugar. It´s too big. Re Midnight Rambler - like Miss You this is the spot for Ron & Keith to relax, so they will keep both.

Sad Sad Sad is as good as any Exile-rocker. One of the very few fine moments on Steel Wheels. Including this (and Harlem Shuffle) would enrich the setlist immensely.

Quoteretired_dog QuoteHMS This unfortunately is one of the songs that prevents EOMS from being a masterpiece. Yeah, thank God it's not on Dirty Work and therefore can't spoil this album's undisputed "masterpiece" status, right? DW isn´t a masterpiece really, but it is their last from-start-to-finish-enjoyable album of (mostly) original material. EOMS could ve been

The Stones are blessed with Ron Wood. He refreshed their sound considerably, with MT it all got bloated, not Stones-like anymore to the ears of yours truly. Some Girls although no fav of mine compared to lame GHS/IORR is like opening the windows and letting in some clear clean fresh winter air. And thathighly welcomed and desperately needed element of refreshment continues until today. Ron Wood

How many in the crowd do you believe to have TY in their rack? Not too many I´d like to say. Most of the crowd are just "tourists", seeing the Stones like visiting the pyramids or the Eiffel Tower. I guess only 15 % of the crowd are collectors of their albums.
