One of most overrated, bland artists in history. Most of his songs are the same song. Tell me that Free Fallin, Running Down a Dream, Yer So Bad and I Won't Back Down are not the same song. I think he wrote those while giving his dog a bath and this guy's in the songwriter's hall of fame? Some early stuff is OK, but it's been played to death. Pretty sure I don'

Say what you want but Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special was the high-water mark in rock and roll. And no human being on Earth - male or female - ever looked better than he did for that special.

I took my daughter to see the Stones in Orlando two years ago when she was age 8, I took both of my daughters (they are twins) to see Taylor Swift two months later in Tampa when they were 8. I took the same daughter who went with me to the Stones to see McCartney last month in Tampa at age 10. When I was 11 my dad took me to see Elvis in Duluth, Minnesota, about four months before he die

Is his hair fantastic enough to die for? Especially with two young children? Hopefully he was kidding. If not it was the most narcissistic comment ever made.

Mick being lifted up to the mic from under the stage for the opening song was pretty cool, but him strutting in from the side was electric.

I know I should be embarrassed for saying this but Barry Manilow's "Could This Be the Magic?'' is a masterpiece. I'll crawl back in my hole now.

A few months after taking my 10-year-old daughter to see the Stones in Orlando I took her to see Taylor SWift in Tampa. I thought it was fantastic and I had never heard one of her songs prior to going. Also agree with whoever said Karen Carpenter had the best female voice ever, Period. Just think of how great she could have been had someone given her the proper songs to sing, instead of that s

I was born and lived in Duluth, Minnesota too and it was pretty cool to hear him talk about the place in the interview. My parents were on a date at the 1959 Buddy Holly show in Duluth, the same one Dylan was at when he was Robert Zimmerman, the same one that changed Dylan's course. It was just days before Buddy Holly died.

Here's a rarely-heard version of Let it Rock by the Jerry Garcia Band. Do not dismiss it. It features crazy-good piano by the great Nicky Hopkins. If you are a fan of Nicky this is a Must Listen. In fact, the whole two-part CD is a Must Listen CD 2 also features a version of Let's Spend the Night Together.

Never got the whole Sinatra thing. To me he was just a guy standing against a street lamp in a fedora and a jacket slung over his shoulder singing in the same tone and pace as the average person speaks. Zero excitement, zero anything whatsoever. Sinatra and Elvis once appeared on a TV special together and they sang each other's songs. Sinatra sang "Love Me Tender'' an

I am 50 years old and not many people my age are fortunate enough to say they have seen both Elvis and the Stones live. I saw Elvis a few months before he died (it still counts and he was actually pretty good; I've heard the soundboard). I have many thoughts on Elvis vs. Mick, but I will just add this: The '68 Comeback Special was the high-water mark for Rock and Roll as far as I&

Quite possibly the greatest voice ever. Black and White Night is pure perfection, both musically and cinematically, everything Martin Scorsese wasn't with Shine a Light. The stage is full of top-notch musicians and every one is in complete awe of him. The looks on their faces as he hits some of those notes are almost better than the music.

If Journey's in shouldn't REO Speedwagon be in too? About the same thing. Actually some of REO's early stuff is actually pretty decent. Very underrated guitarist. Think he just passed away. I was checking the list of inductees, and good god, Madonna's in there. Is there anyone worse than Madonna? Wait, I take it back. She did come up with the groundbreaking song "Holid

Now don't get me wrong. I am nothing close to being a fan of Boston. I switch the station every time they come on. That being said, name one band in the last 40 years who has been played more on American radio than Boston. Flip it to a classic rock station right now and they will be on within 15 minutes guaranteed. I'll bet "More Than a Feeling'' has been played more t

Sundevil, Buy a dictionary? Which word/sentence don't you understand? Maybe I can help clarify. I never said I "don't get why people don't agree.'' I couldn't care less, and clearly not too many people do agree. But that still doesn't change my opinion, and that's all this is, an opinion. It's not a personal attack on you, or anyone el

I never said "No biggie.'' I never said "So the F what.'' I never said "I heard better.'' Just like you, I have seen him live. And just like you, I thought his musical ability was from another planet. I just happen to think a musician from another planet should be held to the highest of standards and he was capable of better records than he pu
