Well; you couldn’t make this shite up. Here we are in the UK on the verge of “freedom day” on Monday and so what happens? Our new health secretary tests positive for COVID - and met our PM and God knows who else only yesterday. He was also visiting care homes in the past few days. No word yet as to whether the PM will be self-isolating on “freedom” day, which would be the ultimate irony, if so

All best wishes to you, crholmstrom. Strikes me that you have the right attitude to get you through to that light, so here's hoping that it gets much brighter for you ASAP.

Worth remembering that a few days ago, Mick did tweet a link to this video “The rhythm of life/NHS” encouraging people to get a vaccine.

If the choice is between advice from the British Medical Association and scientists and advice from a bumbling blustering excuse of a PM, then I know what I'm likely to be doing.

The money goes to who? The money is going to charity. Nate Oh so sorry, thanks for correcting me Nate I mean mate @MickJagge

Quite a few bids already for some of those dresses. But none yet for either of Mick's jackets. Starting bid for both is set at £15,000.

QuoteMariuana I saw some pictures and mostly it's L'Wren dresses she wore for some significant events. Just a few of items are Mick's jackets. I guess he still keeps most of them and it's kinda sweet. The majority of the dresses up for auction were worn by other people, like Nicole Kidman, Mariella Frostrup (a former "close pal" of Mick's, as it happens), Sara

I witnessed that Plexi menu incident - it was truly a sight to behold The memorabilia aspect of the restaurant took a nosedive when Bill sold up and the food was pretty bog standard and nothing to write home about. But it was still always a good place for fan meet-ups.

QuoteRocktiludrop Great and funny story from Noel, i wonder if Keith has met Liam, i remember an awards ( Q Awards) where it was said Liam was flicking his cigarette Ash into Mick Jaggers hair, as old as Keith was I'm not sure Liam would have been so disrespectful to Keith, maybe there would have been consequences for Liam. I would hazard a guess that Liam has met Keith, given that he was

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteHairball Decent cover released as a B-side, 1998 that is quite good actually. Never heard that before and found it not bad at all. Am now reminded of one time when I saw Beady Eye some years ago they did a pretty acceptable cover of Gimme Shelter. Forgot to add that I like how Noel tells it about Keith! Thanks for posting.

QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotejbwelda Here is something no one seems to talk about: your immune system is kept healthy by being exposed to minor amounts of germs that are in the environment and passed from person to person. Not enough to make you sick because a healthy immune system keeps you immune from the minor exposure. But suppose you isolate yourself from society and therefore from the germs in

I got a copy at the Carnaby Street store at about 2.30 p.m. and was told there were around 50 left at that time and that it had sold a lot faster than Blue & Lonesome, as around 300 copies were gone in the first hour. I returned a couple of hours later to try and get one for a friend on here I'd since been in touch with, but by that time they had all gone. Then they told me there

Hairball - I found a video posted by the chief scientist in charge of the study explaining why this might happen and trying to give reassurance by saying it was not altogether unusual. Seemed to me that the most viable explanation in my case (hopefully!) was that the test didn't look for T-cells, which is something also mentioned in the article you posted. Sorry to all - didn't me

Thanks, Hairball! I'm trying to assume the best and so haven't been letting it stop me getting out and about in line with the guideslines/rules in place. i.e., masking up and social distancing where advised/required.

Not "could be". It will be. We here are living in a parallel world when you think that Africa - for example - with its population of 1.2 billion, has received a mere 36 million vaccines. Today Malawi burned 20,000 expired vaccines that arrived 18 days before they expired. And India, a major vaccine producer, has also halted vaccine exports. So go figure.
