Pickwick Arms Hotel, E. 51st St. (between 1st and 2nd - or maybe 2nd and 3rd). NOT the most exciting part of town, but a room is about $80 ([pre-tax). MSG is across town but still easy and quick to get to from there. Rooms small but clean. Do a google search of the name and street and you're likely to get an even cheaper rate through one of those hotel discount sites. Also see www.c

That show rocked! Mick's three numbers were excellent. Jack and co. eclipsed Cream at the Royal Albert Hall, IMHO - we were treated to five numbers, including I Feel Free (which we didn't get at RAH). And Jules was fantastic!

I had the same experience - i.e., I was not eligible for that presale but got offered 4 different sets of tix before ticketbastard got its act together to ask for the code. I rejected them all because they were rubbish - either in the absolute rafters or $450+ for "restricted view". What sort of nonsense is all that and in literally the first TWO minutes as well? Where does this leav

if you're still in richmond on sat, you could head for the Half Moon pub on Lower Richmond Road, where you'll find the Rollin' Stoned playing (and a bunch of us - well, a large handful anyway).

That must have been what I heard in passing today when I was out and about. I didn't know what it was but IMMEDIATELY thought it was a rip-off of Street Fighting Man.

So was I - it was amazing to get this so soon after the press conference; it must have taken a LOT of work. So MANY thanks again, BV.

Whoops! You are right - thank you. It was the public sale it mentioned on 14 May. Too early in the morning for me...

Did anyone get the fan club's e-mail entitled "presale information" BEFORE the presales started? I just got it now - i.e., only three days late. Great!

I am not convinced that the European shows are going to be much cheaper. I mean, last time the top price was £150 - in London at least - and I don't call that cheap. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if this time round they are nearer £200. As a current comparison of sorts, I paid £125 for Cream (no regrets!) so I can't imagine them not going quite a lot higher than that. And w

hoping to get tix in the NY/tri-state area to coincide with work, cos I could then keep the overall bill down. if i'm not lucky with those, i'll be sticking to europe.

Well done - at least you have some good tickets! I can't figure out if it's best to try for cheap seats in the hope there are some goods ones in there, because if there aren't any on offer, then you also risk the chance of missing out on the more expensive good ones. So what to do? I am very annoyed and dismayed at the way this is working. It's better than last time in tha

Yes, I couldn't work out the Fenway dog leg. Who gets these "on stage" seats?

Glad you got the seats! I hope I'll get mine for other venues later - I was just trying out the system (see my post on ticketmaster experience), after which I'm not feeling too optimistic. I mean, if Fenway sells out in two minutes, the odds of getting tix for venues half to one third the size don't look too good...

Me, too. It's a real scramble. What tix might be reserved for any public sales at this rate?

Call me dumb, but what is the difference between "Paid Fan Club Member with Code" and "New member presale - $100 added"?? Does it mean that if you buy tix the latter way, you pay an extra $100 or what? I tried both and was offered the same tix on both occasions and couldn't see any price difference. I didn't want tix for Fenway but wanted to see how the system wor
