Quotejahisnotdead I saw "Elvis." I'm thinking of seeing it again next week and will definitely purchase it as soon as it comes out on Blu Ray. As you can probably guess, I liked it a lot. It wasn't nearly as anachronistic as "Moulin Rouge!" which was kind of what I was expecting. I thought the stylization was absorbing. I'm not usually a fan of fast edits, but i

Anyone seen the biggest movie in the US right now? Or is everyone currently in full time Stones mode cuz of the tour where nothing else matters?

Or maybe they can't add yet another huge jam to a set that already has Rambler and an extended encore...? Cutting CYHMK short makes sense not only do they need to conserve their energy, the song's identity lies more now on the first half rather than the jam since Bobby and Charlie are now gone. Keith is really the best part of the song and he carried very well the other night. A high

That said, as for his playing I've found Ronnie to be super tasteful on this tour. Not as crazy as the excited and frantic puppy of years past

Just compare it to MT at Glastonbury in 2013, not even in the same ballpark. Even compared to his own solo in 2015 at the Fonda. Quotelem motlow The return of the riff master- If I paid my money and he came out and played that intro to knockin like he did at this show and they just left I would’ve walked away happy. They were showing a spark in the States but they’re just torching it in Europe. I’ve been watching the Stones live for 47 years now and it takes me 5 seconds to tell when they’re firing on all cylinders.

Really awful if that's what's happened with Sasha. Hope it gets cleared up and she can rejoin soon. Going by social media it looked like she was thrilled to be on the this tour and having the time of her life. I would guess now that Chanel will be present for a few more if not the rest of the shows while Sasha has this sorted out. Going by the pictures of her meeting the band it ap

Quotecimaz It's a pity they didn't release one of the club shows from the 2002 (Boston Orpheum, NY Roseland, LA Wiltern)-2003 (Stockholm Cirkus) tour instead of this one. Frankly I don't know if I even want to hear anymore shows considering what they did to this one.

Surprisingly the only track so far that I've been digging is CYHMK. Daryl actually does pop through albeit thin and stringy. The sound may be growing on me hard to tell. It's still worthy listen for the performance. Still a shame the sound doesn't entice you to come back.

QuoteShott I was front row in Seattle last night and asked if she had a Charlie story. She talked about one time while he was playing she went up to his plexiglass where they used to put the setlist, put big red lipstick kiss on it and then started to sexually grind against it, and Charlie got really embarrassed. She then said he always had elegant shoes, socks, and a subtle but great cologne.

QuotePapo QuoteJustin Listening to hi-res now. Bass is nonexistent. You can't turn it up without killing your ears. Not happy so far. Are you listening to a high-res download? I consider getting it from Qobuz, but if you say that even hi-res isn't any good, I might save the money. Correct, hires via hdtracks.com It's not fun to listen to. One of their best shows, s

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards — the Stones' credited songwriters — have agreed a massive deal to allow some of their songs and story to be used in a drama for the first time. The team behind The Crown are making plans to shoot a new 16-part drama series about the band, which is as-yet untitled. It will be shown in two eight-part series by the network FX. I'm told that the pro

With a couple of exceptions, classics like Tumbling Dice, there's so many numbers on this release that the "definite" version, even when including the studio recordings.
