The more Elvis threads the better. And before anyone else does... Chuck Berry is awesome and equally important. Many other important figures never wrote their own songs either. Ok maybe we can move on now.

Look at everyone pretending like these type of questions are too ridiculous for this board. Give me a break. To the OP, I've noticed it too. He still does it to this day at times. Yes, a tic he picked up at some point in the 70's.

I will say that the first time I ever stepped foot in YouTube was to watch an upload of their super bowl performance in 2005 a few hours it happened.

Quoteguyrachel Couldn’t agree more. I loved Not For Beginners! Which weirdly doesn’t seem to be on iTunes Not For Beginners was definitely on repeat a lot when it first came out. A quaint, home-studio vibe that was a little rough around the edges. Lot of great musical moments with Scotty Moore and Dylan picking together. Shame it's not on the streaming platforms. Slide On This either

Totally fascinating. Great shock to the ears to hear what's actually going on here. Very fun. Such a dynamic track.

Quotetrevormcmullin Since no one else seemed to notice yet... Chanel Haynes posted a photo to Instagram last night of her, Ronnie, Sally and Matt Clifford with the location Manhattan. I bet it's no coincidence that Matt Clifford is in New York at the same time as the Wood's. Recording is likely happening now. Also, last week Steve Jordan posted to his instagram story a picture of him on

I'd love to know if the Stones ever played a show colder than the one in Chicago in 2006, at below freezing (30 degrees F). Looking back it was crazy but if there was ever a test for a love of a band it was that night. We knew we were all crazy, we knew the Stones were crazy--it was a crazy situation all around. Bundled up, with as much clothing as you could fit. This was truly testing

QuoteIrix QuoteJustin There can't be many of those right? Could almost be any tour-date from end of 2012 until end of August 2019 (due to Charlie). Do you remember the type of the plane (B767, B737, normal airline)? Details of the RS tongue/lettering sticker? Feel like it was their normal airliner? I'm not familiar with all their different ones they've used. Maybe we

QuoteJMARCOU We need more details, what a decade for example.... If you or anyone has a collection of all the airport footage from the last 10 years maybe I could look through those and I could find it? There can't be many of those right? Anyone been saving these throughout the years?

One leg/country per year. This isn't 2002 anymore. One major jaunt and they're done till next year. These days touring is like a family vacation.

It's just something to do. And obviously Mick does it on songs where he feels it would help the audience to prime them before it starts. It's very consistent with Mick's personality to do this. He's humble enough to treat these songs not as holier than thou gold medals and assume the audience knows every song they've recorded. That's not in his his or the

Would someone possibly have this footage? I came across it randomly in a video on YouTube and cannot find it anymore. It's news/papparazi footage of the Stones from the last 5-10 years just arriving at the airport tarmac (country unknown), and taking pictures from the foot of their airplane door, at the top of the stairs. The news footage is zoomed in tight enough where you can see th

Quote24FPS I've never understood why Mick feels the need to announce what song they're getting ready to play. It takes away from the rush in the crowd when they start playing a song and recognize it after a few chords. The Stones don't need to tell an audience. I'm referring specifically to a video I just saw of them doing 'Out of Time' in Berlin. Mick tells them it&

QuoteTheflyingDutchman Quoteangee QuoteTheflyingDutchman After watching the show I have the impression that Mick Jagger gets homesick, musically spoken. How do you get that impression, TheflyingDutchman? Because I was about 20 meters from the stage, watched Jagger and listened to the music, if that's the word you want to hear. I wonder why Jagger still does this. You'll have to el

I've only watched the clips available but looks like they are firing on all cylinders now. They've always prided themselves of how great they sound at the end of the tour which I always disagreed with. I think they always turned too smooth by the end of a run. But today, they're sounding splendid as the end. Superb stuff in Angie, Out of Control and JJF. Man. These guys.
