Mick's voice sounds really good on this track. Great track for a TV show or movie. It's a different type of song, not really R&R or blues which is nice change. Well done Sir!

The Stones soldier on because they were born to do it and are still able. It's who they are.

Quoteone of the loudest and greatest concerts I have ever attended. Keith likes to crank those Twins and it appears he doesn't use ear monitors or plugs. I wonder if he has any hearing problems from 60 years of this, it appears he doesn't?

I listened with ear pods and the band sounded great. 999 rocked hard. YGTS beautiful vocal by Keith he still sings good. BTMMR the key was a bit too high for Keith to hit some of the notes but still sounded good! Maybe drop it down a half pitch? Waddy, Ivan, Steve and Lee did a great job. Keith looks damn good.

QuoteI think the clearly diminishing sales potential of The Stones is not lost on either Mick or Keith. They may well think any new album is simply not worth the effort. Hot Rocks continues to sell well, re-entering both the US and UK charts at regular intervals. Tours draw big crowds, and 90% of the assembled multitudes only want to hear warhorses. Sad, but true... I now think this is true.

Is "Gotta Get a Grip" in the top 10 list of worst songs ever? LOL

The well is not dry, it's just a change in the music business and musical tastes. Rap, Pop and "R'n'B" are in vogue, have been for a long time. The Stones could write another Satisfaction and it wouldn't get any airtime.

Touring must be brutal at that age. They can always do a residency like Aerosmith and Billy Joel do.

QuoteIn open-G, perhaps. He plays Monkey Man in standard tuning, does a good job.

He still plays his chord riffs great. Damn, he played Monkey Man really good on this tour no? If he would just stick to the 12 fret pentatonic notes on SFTD like on Beggars Banquet it would be great.

The boys can still play and excite an audience. If I hadn't seen them before I might spend big dollars to see them. For me personally, I wouldn't spend the money to see HTW, SMU, SFM, etc. played live again. I still follow the setlists and stuff and I love them to death but a live show is over for me.

Jimmy Page now that's a low slung guitar. Tom Morello very high. Keith likes it that way so he plays it that way. It is harder to play that low but going on many decades he's always strung it there.

Being on the road and playing for what 2 or 3 hours is tiring, especially for a 78 year old. Heck, go on a business trip for a week or two, it's exhausting. They're doing really well for guys their age.

My best 1972 MSG, Stevie Wonder opening act (which was fantastic in itself). Others 1975 MSG and 1999 Hartford.

Probably just a new song or two on compilations or anniversary reissues. They could be ones written some time ago but never finished and released.

This is Steve Jordan, a true professional, a Charlie favorite, Winos member, Keith friend..........he will rock the house down! Not even an issue!

I really think that as Keith ages, his guitar playing has intentionally evolved to put more "roll" into rock n' roll. If you listen to the Fonda Theater show, he played great but very subtly. Sure he has aged but he's doing great.

Keith had a few good ones on Cross Eyed Heart. About a new Stones album, I think that ship has sailed away, won't happen.

IMHO I don't think the band just wants to finish this tour commitment and enjoy the holidays. They're a band, a great live one, who have been doing this for 60 years. It's what they do, it's what they are, it's what they love or they would have quit long ago. I know Keith is always itching to get on the road and look how quickly Mick did after the heart surgery.
