If Mick or any of his reps read IORR posts, I wan't to wish him well and Stones fans in the US are praying for a successful procedure and a speedy recovery!

Anyone know whose pedals are next to that amp on Ronnie's side and what those pedals are? A few look like BOSS pedals?

Many musicians peaked artistically when they were on drugs and booze. IMHO it didn't hurt Keith one bit in terms of his music. Didn't he say he got a lot more out of it than it got out of him?

I loved HSMR when it came out and I still do! Some really good songs on it, including She's a Rainbow.

Quote@#$%& the new album stuff. Dont believe in it anymore. They will keep on touring till one if them dies or gets sick. I now agree. The well may have run dry as any new stuff may not be worthy of their current song catalog (which is masterful). Maybe they went into the studio to record, the new stuff was not good, so they recorded B&L instead? Time is short and the water is r

It sounds great. Another commercial from the same car company uses Sympathy which is sung very well by someone other than Mick.

Popular music has changed so much since SMU was on the charts. They could write another Satisfaction and it wouldn't chart. The "youngins" would rather listen to Kanye, Taylor Swift................

Aerosmith got back together? I did not know that.

Keith is cool. If he doesn't dig a band, he'll say something like "it's not my thing" but I doubt he would say a player's technical proficiency stinks. Either way, I still think Aerosmith is a good band.

I just figured it out, the Aerosmith Kramer guy is the Jerry Seinfeld Kramer. Makes sense.

QuoteAnd asked if he saw bands coming through to replace Aerosmith as stadium fillers and festival headliners, Kramer responds: “I don’t. When the bands that are around now are finished I think it will be the end of a very long era. I’m talking about bands like us, AC/DC and Van Halen.” He doesn't mention The Stones? Seriously? The guy (Kramer or whatever his name is) is so jealous th

Steven Tyler is a very good singer and Joe Perry a good guitarist. They did rip-off the Stones personna though, same blueprint. Didn't the drummer bad mouth The Stones awhile back? If so, he is just a jealous wannabe, if not, my apologies.

QuoteOne trend I dislike which started (or I guess resumed from the 70s/80s) with this tour is the announcer. The Steel Wheels-present approach where the background music stops and suddenly the band is on stage is so much more dramatic. Agreed!

Listened to Midnight Rambler with good headphones. Mick Taylor adds such an energy with his playing and it really makes the song sound fresh. Great guitar player, period.

I would love to see a Premier Guitar rig-rundown on Keith and Ronnie's equipment. Not the guitars so much as the amps, racks and effects (if any). I know Keith uses those old twins and he did use a tape echo and Zinky Master Blaster in the past. I wonder if he still does? I'm clueless as to what Ronnie uses.

As a quick aside, I love the Jr. been playing it for years but can't keep it in tune for more than a song. Tried everything, nut lube, etc. Any suggestions? A few strings usually go flat, never sharp after playing, tuners are good and I am a good stringer, by the book. Thanks.

QuoteThrough the Ampeg and the Boogie his Tele tone was Lovely, imo. Agreed! Especially through the Ampegs live. It was tone to die for. In the studio he got a wonderful sound on the song Trouble from his last solo LP. The guy can make any combination of guitar and amp sound good.

The tone he gets with the LP Jr on Out of Control when the singing stops and Ronnie does the wah-wah bit is incredible. It's my favorite tone of his. The amp just howls, it's friggin' ominous.
