GRNRBITW........You crack me up......I think we are like minded......LOVE our Stones, but no free passes. Just listened to Ya-Yas with my son......might have spoiled him. How about Let Me Go?

Agreed, Exile is its own thing in its own time.....Plundered, by myself, in my truck, on a two lane road, well, it made me misty. Sometimes I think not finishing songs is better too. Its pretty easy to distinguish 70's Jagger from now, and what was looseness for Keith, at times sounds calculated.

Yes, thank you. I enjoy all reviews and you are fast- I get my fix! I think you sometimes pump sunshine......but I still appreciate!

I am an Exile man, but prefer the SG Bonus, slightly. I love you too much is my fave, with Claudine as a close second. Yellow Cab is hot too. I have always been an avid boot collector, and while the Exile stuff is good, they left alot off in favor of weaker material. Traveling Man is hotter than any of what they used,(I think the Black Crows lifted its riff for Sting Me.) Alas, greed, don't

Again, thats the problem.......I don't think they can play many songs at an adequate tempo...........Even Jordan reserved dunks for special occasions by the 6th title - stay within yourselves, we will appreciate it.

Seems most agree GOMC Isn't the right choice. An opener must have some prerequisites- Must have a hard hitting Keith intro, the open G songs fit this well. Needs to be uptempo. Needs to "set" the mood. I understand keeping JJF in the encore, but it's not a great soloing song, (Ronnie riff), as wicked as it is, it gets stale at about 5minutes. 81' being the exeption-down,

Sorry, big fingers. If you really cant hear it, find a guitar player, play them this stuff, and then play them 15 seconds of GYYYO......they can point it out easily. I dont expect the same at 70 as 30, but part of aging is knowing your limits. I love them, but I don't give free passes.

QuoteGRNRBITW QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quoterollingon QuoteThrylan OK....I love my Stones, but lets be real, as a musician myself, this is......mediocre. I will watch every video, buy the dvd and see them if they come close. That being said, if the tempos get any slower, they will have to cut the setlist to about 15 songs. For some, they could walk out and piss and it would be the greatest show ev

Tatters....too funny! Damn, I forgot SMU was an opener in 89', that worked nicely. BS was a strong opener too! Maybe SSC? A Stones opener should have an aggressive open G, immediately recognizable riff! I guess the drum/Keith intro NFA in 94' was pretty strong. I just like the way opening with JJF, BS, HTW....etc shuffles the set.

A new album would be cool, but hell yeah, give me 10 good songs, and without 1000 producers and guests like BB. It seems to me since the reformation, songs are either strong, or they stink.....not much middle ground. I do have a weakness for VL.....I think that one was made for the road- lots of rockers. I saw them early on that tour and they played like 6 of them. IGW, YGMR & LIS in particul

Is GOMC really a strong opener? I am curious what people think. I love JJF myself, great punch, unsettles the "warhorse" section, makes way for SFM, and is generally shorter due to the nature of the placement. Thoughts?

Love the black Tele custom....it will be my next guitar! I see several people mention the Dan Armstrong Plexiglas guitar.......strap one on and walk around for five minutes ......then grab a muscle relaxer!!! HEAVY! You need a healthy back for that! Teles and Les Pauls are heavy enough.

The weight certainly could be a factor, they are light, and sound great for those songs! As I stated earlier, he can still lay down that wicked MM riff effortlessly, I just enjoy watching him do what he does better than anyone- lay down the rhythm. Grainy is a good description.

Quotesonomastone QuoteThrylan Pretty obvious....the fall took alot out of Keef. The new songs are "Mick" songs, even Keith says Mick does a good Keef on guitar. It is what it is. I would imagine thats why it's such a short tour. I just wish it was more genuine. The 85$ pricepoint is fair. I paid @100$ to see Clapton in Pittsburgh, floor seats, no lottery, and that was fair. I think

He has always played a Jr. On MR and MM...they have a nice ratty sound, I have a blonde one just like it! Frankly, it's a welcome sight, I cfinge when I see the 335......it means he might solo. At this point I would like to see him concentrate on mainly rhythm, he still does that as well as anyone.
