Brown Sugar - Live Rotterdam 73 with Taylor on slide. What a hot opening track. Happy - Brussels 73 with Taylor soloing. Studio version pales in comparison. GS - Live 72/73 is awesome but quite different to original studio track which I also love. Tumbling Dice - Live Brussels or Perth 73 'oh baby I love ya'. Sublime. Love In Vain - NY 72 with Taylor on slide. YCAGWYW - Brussels 73

QuoteEleanor Rigby QuoteDandelionPowderman Nothing beats the studio version, imo, but the Philly 72 version with Taylor high in the mix is fantastic. Brussels Affair (the bootleg, not the official release) is too messy (and out of tune) for me to enjoy. You dont enjoy the Brussels 1973 version??? Strange...very strange...sure out of tune intro by Keith but otherwise perfect. You on drugs Dand

Ladies and Gentlemen on Blu Ray (Eaglerock) Brussels Affair: bootleg (Definitive Edition) or official release

Quotekleermaker The bootleg is absolutely better, certainly the one with the London (soundboard) songs. Better songs and better sound quality. The official 'Brussels Affair' is as dry as grits: it doesn't 'breathe'. The performance of the different songs (some are the same: Browns Sugar, Midn.Rambler, Street F. Man, and the solo from All Down The Line) is inferior as

Beautiful guitar tone and playing. Makes you wonder what the Stones could have sounded like it Taylor toured with them in the 1990s.

QuoteRollingFreak Quotes083874 " If they used him on more songs, it would become normal and no one would see the tour as Mick Taylor and the Rolling Stones" Except Mick. I also get the impression that the band is doing this tour for fun and the love of their ability to still play music and turn on their fans. MJ? Not so much. Then why would Mick Jagger bring Mick Taylor on tour?! Unl

Page 73 is deserved of another plug for MT + the band in their 1973 heyday: More MT please.

Voted If You Can't Rock Me. Hope they mix it into Get Off Of My Cloud ala LYL OR do a studio version with MT's lead/wahh snaking through it.

Quotekleermaker A better solo by Mick T. this time not truncated, though still in a nutshell, so to speak. What annoys me the most is the tempo of the song: much too fast. It has to be played slowly, like on the studio album to really reveal its power. +1. Nice work by Mick T. Composed and focussed. Unfortunately the first slide solo, sublime in the studio version, is mistimed then (imho) butch

Quotefzv98d Since Midnight Rambler is happening now here is my recording from the pit from last Tuesday. Great recording. The higher quality smartphone recording possibly a reason why they are lifting their game. It isn't enough to for them to just satisfy the immediate audience; having them feel good on exit. They now have a worldwide audience peeking into their shows that get a feel from

How about BS with MT's scorching lead slide guitar as a stronger opener?

Are they limiting MT to tracks he wasn't involved in creating?? Wonder if MT is only on MR and Satisfaction because they were created prior to him being a Stone and somehow limit his concert proceeds? Portions of LIB, or anything off SF/EOMS/GHS/IORR may perhaps mean he gets more $$ for his efforts?? Wouldn't put it past Jagger for there being a cashflow reason for MT's limit

Good argument for MT to be more involved is authenticity - let MT play the guitar parts he created. Then get him to help fill out their guitar sound with non-MT tracks such as their harder rocking IORR. Haven't heard a decent live version of IORR yet. A way in which the RS could honor this messageboard

QuoteJimNitroWell, I thought Taylor would forever be Exiled on Main Street from the Stones...Who's idea was it to bring him back??? Bloody Brilliant!! Right now in my opinion, he's the Show!!! +1. Mick Taylor onstage with the Rolling Stones = renewed interest by fans = more ticket sales. I'm guestimating MT is > 1000% return on investment where he'd no doubt be getting

QuoteDoomandGloom Who saw Taylor smoking a cigarette and tossing it just before the solo section??? He looks a bit nervous, he's waited 40 years for that moment and succeeded. Wonder if Jagger's PT/nutritionalist could give the guy a hand to get him mechanically and neurologically in top guitar playing form? The guy's still got the groove in him for sure.

With MT onboard I'm going to shelve plans of seeing the Black Crowes doing Stones covers (CYHMK, Sway). With no time machine handy, that had previously been the best option to hear an approximation of the early 70s Stones sound live. Worth mention that Slash, of GNR fame, says Mick Taylor and the Beggars, LIB and SF albums were a major inspiration to him. He plays in a similar style to Mi

Wonder if anybody has invested in a set of ear plugs to keep that highly ranked camper happy? More, unrestrained MT please. MJ sounds great with guitar chops to support him. Wish they c

Birmingham, September 19 1973. first show. Keith's chainsaw is "on" and Mick Taylor's with his slicing solos + thick wah-wah. Only wish there was a soundboard of this.

Here's hoping he's being acclimatised to get the RS 'vibe' for a greater role later on. He's certainly looking better. Seems atm he's mostly a dangling carrot to get nostalgic fan ticket sales.
