I just found this gem on Archive.org. Is blessed by the artists. Essentially Drive-By Truckers doing a short all Stones set for a benefit show in Athens, GA from 2006. Not a bad recording & the performances are good, especially "Moonlight Mile".
This is pretty good fun!
Setlist:
01) Loving Cup
02) Silver Train
03) Star Star
04) Before They Make Me Run
05) Moonlight Mil Forum: Tell Me
Mick glaring at Ronnie for the whole show after Ronnie had a little too much fun with Motley Crue preshow. The solo on "Tumbling Dice" sounded like Sonic Youth & not in a good way. They turned Ronnie way down after that & let him run around the stage for the rest of the show. Blondie Chaplin played a lot that night from kind of behind the amps. Keith was awesome & picked up Forum: Tell Me

Thanks! How do the new songs sound like? He told RS that he'd found a "new style" or something like that...
The 1 he played on the Brian Wilson tour had a very Middle Eastern feel. Was interesting & I liked it. His violin player is great.
The violin player (Lizzie Bell?) is out, which suits me as I didn't really care f Forum: Tell Me

I stopped seeing him (or Johnny Winter) and many others Jeff Beck ZZ Top (including the Stones) because for me the magic is gone. just my opinion
I was lucky enough to see Jeff Beck last October from the front row. He has lost nothing & is still pushing boundaries. Judging by the new song that he played, I think the new album is going to be a very pleasant surprise to all. Forum: Tell Me
Liked this one plenty the few times I've seen them play it. I saw a show in Portland on the Bridges tour where they really hit the groove on it. It was a scary & good thing!>< Forum: Tell Me
Neil Finn "Dizzy Heights". Saw him play an awesome concert last night in Seattle. Eddie Vedder joined him for 5 songs. Here's the proof! Forum: Tell Me
I recently made an early Stones mix cd for my friend's 13 year old daughter & put this song on by mistake. I was thinking "She Smiled Sweetly". Turned out to be a happy accident! Forum: Tell Me

At this point (and it is kind of pointless)
UCLA, BAYLOR, IOWA STATE AND LOUISVILLE...
with UCLA winning it all, maybe, but who knows?
My only original pick for final 4 still in it is Arizona. I'll stick with them. Forum: Tell Me
Thanks to all for the input. Historically, he hasn't played in the US much. He's playing the symphony hall in Seattle which would be cool but is on a bad night. I might go see him at Pearl Theater @ the Palms in Vegas. Good venue, I saw Jeff Beck & Brian Wilson there. It's a little sterile but the sound is excellent. Forum: Tell Me
Has anybody seen Bryan in the last few years? I'm thinking about going to see him in a few weeks. Hesitating because last time I saw him, he was kind of mediocre. This was several years ago though. I saw Roxy Music on the High Road tour & that was amazing. Forum: Tell Me

same here Max.
cholmstrom- very interesting choice of national champ. picking the Heels to win makes me think you might be a Tar Heel?
No, I'm not a Tar Heel. For first time ever there was absolutely no logic involved in my picks. Went strictly by gut feeling. Working out pretty well so far. Day 2 wasn't quite as st Forum: Tell Me
I don't even want to look at those pictures. I remember the day he died vividly. I was working in Seattle music biz at the time. In the middle of the Seattle heyday. Things changed for me after he died & not for the better. RIP Kurt. Forum: Tell Me
Went to Las Vegas. It was pretty good. I'd give it a B grade. The highlight for me was Midnight Rambler. Was a little disappointed they didn't use Mick Taylor for a few more songs. Unless they play near where I live, probably my last show. I'm good with that, as the show was decent. Forum: Tell Me

During the year I don't watch a lot of college basketball but the tournament is fun. Luckily, I get to work virtual today & can get fully into it. They blocked video feeds at work yesterday but I could get score updates. I did 7 brackets this year & took a new approach. Ignored the experts & just went by gut feeling. Got interested by the Warren Buffett contest. Anyway, I kicked Forum: Tell Me
