RIP. Wow, shocking news. Truly the end of an era, so sorry for his family and friends. Much love to all of them. You were part of our lives and will always be in our hearts, Charlie. We will miss you very much. Raise a toast to the greatest drummer in rock.

The new officially released "Living In The Heart Of Love" - I think it's great! Everything I liked in the original bootleg, not the Fully Finished version.

The physical media release of III Imagined gives Paul his second number one album of the year. Clever marketing strategy by Paul and Capitol Records. Well done! I listened to III Imagined last night. It was good. It made me also think how changing the song order can change the flavor of an album.

I think Tattoo You Deluxe will be there for this Christmas, and the new album in March 2022. It gives the morning news programs an excuse to do a story on the big six-oh and promote the new album as well. Some high profile London show would probably come on top of that. Hopefully they will take a page from Lil Naz X and Paul McCartney and swing for the fences with remixes. They've always

Did Keith's solo song "Trouble" originate as a song intended for the Rolling Stones?

They've played with Steve Jordan in the studio, and Steve is Keith's go to drummer when working solo. Plus, Steve Jordan is very good. I have no doubt he will be fine.

This will be the first Atlanta show I have missed in over 30 years. No, I wouldn't feel safe there. It hurts to skip the show, but I'm grateful that I was able to see them live so many times.

I thought I heard the reason they don't do Time Waits For No One is because Taylor wrote a significant amount of it and didn't get songwriting credit. Was that a real story or just my imagination running away with me?

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteDGA35 Quotetreaclefingers Wow. Says a lot. A song like this would probably be the best song ever written/recorded for most bands and a staple in concert. There's lots of Stones songs that haven't been played live that I would like to hear. I don't believe songs like Out of Time or What To Do have ever been played live? For sure...Out of Time gets m

Great performance by the Stones. Mick is giving 110%. Great set list. Lame opening sequence, as if Scorsese is directing it live, which he clearly wasn't. so phony. Editing is so fast it gives me a headache. The worst part is when Scorsese goes to a close up of a guitar, and the guitar suddenly goes up in the sound mix. I hate that so much. Why does the director of "The Last Waltz

Well, if there is a "Tattoo You 2" coming, you'd think they would want to release it relatively soon. I still think the actual new album will come out next spring, and they wouldn't want to step on that too much with a Christmas 2021 release of old material. But what do I know? I actually think that part of the problem might be too much material. It was difficult for me to

QuoteNashvilleBlues I’m not an Elvis fan, but if he qualifies to make the list (he’s #100), he should be in the top 10, if not top 5. I'm right there with you on that. Not a fan of his at all, but Elvis was pretty much the template for all rock stars. But we're talking about a "Greatest Rock Stars" list that has Gwen Stefani and Morrissey on it, and not James Brown.

Quote 93 Paul McCartney “Our Paul” as a whole generation of British people, mainly old women, curiously, called him, is one the greatest songwriters ever, and a singer gifted with an Angel’s voice, and the star of the greatest band of all time, Wings — no, I’m kidding! The Beatles, of course! But he only gets on our list for Wings, which had some superlative rock songs, and one of the great rock

Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Chuck D and Morrisey make the list, but for some unfathomable reason James Brown doesn't. Not sure what their criteria really is here.

96 Micky Dolenz Hey, hey…did you know that the Monkees outsold both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in 1967? I wish I had a screenshot of this, but I don't: Michael Nesmith posted on Facebook about five years ago saying this was a false fact he told a reporter back in the day just to see if it would be reported or if they would fact-check it. Now it's passed into legend and acc

QuoteCaptainCorella There's no way I'm getting a Disney subscription just for this! So you'd pay $20 or more to see a 2 hour version in the theaters, but not pay $8 bucks to see what could be a 6 hour version in your own home? I was looking forward to seeing it in the theater as well, but this new deal is hardly a rip off.

"Wandering Spirit" is an excellent album, in my opinion Mick's best solo record. I can listen to it all the way through and not skip a song. "Sweet Thing" just works. The title track would have been a great Stones song. "Evening Gown" too.

I so wish there was a remixed version of this film. The performance is killer, but I just hate the stupid "3D" sound when the camera cuts to a guitar and then the guitar suddenly goes up in the audio mix. That's not how electric guitars work! I will always be mystified that Scorsese thought that was a good choice.
