QuoteIrisC I couldn't agree more keefriff99. The Garden is great I've seen lots of concerts there. Most recently Billy Joel. The Stones maybe 15 times. My first Stones concert was there June 22,1975. Took the train from Bridgeport. Stones fans. The Garden is cool! U2 in 2015 are MSG... Great visuals, AWFUL sound. We were seated right at end of runway, lowest level. Ears pinned back i

All this talk about ABB on this thread... has me thinking. IF I was a, say 20yo, at the time of ABB release, and liking what I thought was rock and roll at the time, I think I would have thought, AT THE TIME, that ABB WAS a great record! For us, most of us, in our, uh hum, later years, having lived with and through the Stones late 60s, early 70s output, yes, we probably, indeed DO, THINK ABB is o

Let's have a true Double album? One of blues covers, one of new material. Keep the tracks/styles separate so you can play what you want when you want without one style "infecting" the other. And that's just a word I use to identify the different albums. I know and appreciate The Stones ARE a blues based band, of sorts, and that ALL their music is infused, however discreetly, w

Classic Stones. Bawdy. Pimply. Ecstatic. Great playing. Ludicrous lyrics. Love it. Never knew Jerry Hall was on it.

QuoteBeforeTheyMakeMeRun I always wonder what the first 21 songs will be each night on this tour... As compared to the TOTAL 18-19 songs of a Stones show, all of which are pretty much known as well? I hope you have better luck with the final show...sorry, the final 14-15 songs at a Bruce show. They are BOTH great bands live, but Bruce kills it.

Quotekeefriff99 AC/DC is nearly as iconic as the Stones are at this point...now imagine the Stones replacing Mick or Keith for even just one show due to a cold or a flu. It'd be unthinkable. Same with AC/DC...it's not about who can SOUND like Brian. At this point, it's about being in the presence of their legend. Without that, you might as well go see a cover band. ^ This

An all time Stones classic. The "riff" on the piano, the footsteps, the clanging door, the hypnotic melody, the trippy lyrics, the phasing production with all the sounds upfront, then "slipping" away to the background, to be replaced by other sounds that slowly appear. Just all round greatness.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteBoognish Recently Bruce played in Toronto and he saw a woman in the crowd, an 89 year old grandmother, and he had her come up on stage and they slow danced together. That's something you'll never see The Stones do. Also, Bruce is known for taking requests. Have the Stones ever taken a request from the audience before? They do it every night. Angie won t
