I love everything about "Flip the Switch." It's the promise of The X-Pensive Winos finally delivered by The Stones.
"Anybody Seen My Baby?" is easy to pick on, but musically the guitars are perfect as is the bass. The Biz Markie sample is awful. The "No Biz" mix still has that ugly synthesizer which the sample partially masks. What was neede Forum: Tell Me
Happy Birthday Mr Dylan. How about some more Dylan songs? YOU are the Master, you CAN reinterpret others' songs, but why, oh, why would you, when YOU are the Master??? GET on with it, give us some new Dylan sings, PLEASE. Forum: Tell Me

I wouldn't be surprised if they did finish off some unreleased songs, Rocky. I thought I'd run into Don the other night at a family oriented gig but it didn't happen. Regardless, I would guess my sister's friend who serves as consultant on Stones and KR projects will have some info soon.

There's no need to be so angry. I'm not a fan of the album either; doesn't mean "it's not music".
I'm not angry. I am astonished by your comment that one day they (I) apparently will understand how to approach music. I find this to be an incredibly pompous and generalistic response to any of us who have a differing viewpoint to you. Forum: Tell Me

Couldn't agree more.
It's astonishing how angry people are over an album.
One day they'll understand how music can be approached.
Well excuse me for not "approaching" music in the "correct" way.

It is a dreadful dirge, the whole album. Why do they sound so bloody miserable all the time? There's nothing musical about it. To sound different, Yorke seems to think he had to sound in pain over a non melodic, non musical drone. God it is awful. No music when compared to OK... Forum: Tell Me
Dislike this entirely except for Goin to a gogo and Twenty flight, both nicely funky and understated.. The rest? Too ramshackle to my ears Forum: Tell Me
Brilliant. Right on the money. And as everyone points out, I Got The Blues is just sublime, ESPECIALLY THAT ending. Right up there with GYYYO. Forum: Tell Me

It's a fabulous album with a great mix of styles with two absolute classics on it in Hand Of Fate and Memory Motel.
And to my ears it's the best sound they ever achieved. The music is beautifully uncluttered and has real room to breathe.
YES! It SOUNDS amazing, fresh, vibrant and full of space. AND music! Forum: Tell Me
Played this LP to death in the first year of marriage. Wife still with me, LP long gone. Have to purchase it again on vinyl, I DO like it a lot. Memory Motel the standout, with Hand of Fate a close second. Cherry oh Baby the weakest, by a l-o-n-g way! Forum: Tell Me
