QuoteRockman Note the Chip Monck cardboard cut-out dressed in T-shirt in both shots …. Anybody recognise The T-shirt or what it says …. NEW YORK or is it CREW ----- Hey Rockman - the shirt does say New York and is from Howard Stein's Academy of Music. He used the image of Jean Harlow on his shirts. I've got an old one that came from an old crew member.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I don't see an image of the shirt that bitman is referring to. But wasn't the 'official' T-shirt an image of Jagger in dark jumpsuit from the side, and it said something like American tour 72? Just fixed the link in the original post from a few years back.

Quotepolythene sam That's a bootleg shirt. The only official 72 tour tee was plain white with a red and black tongue on the front and no writing. I have mine from Knoxville 72 around here somewhere. Did you ever dig that shirt out? Would love to see it if so.

Hey Matt - I'm in the process of doing the same thing with my shirts. I would definitely recommend some sort of cloud based system at the very least as a backup. If it's going to be photo based you could easily write the metadata into each photo and then it would be easy to sort or search by the metadata. I guess a good starting point would be to figure out how you want to organize

Quoteschillid Thanks, I also stumbled across that one while searching earlier. Was hoping to find most of the ones that were in that exhibit. She's got some great crew ones and ones with Robert Frank that I'd love to see a little larger.

Did any one take photos of the photos? I saw a rare one that I'd never seen before and would love to see more stuff from '72 specifically.

QuoteDarin75 Do you mind me asking what shirts do you already have from the ‘70s? Sounds pretty cool Too many to mention.....all of the common tour shirts that were sold and several parking lot bootlegs. I'm looking for crew items mainly.

I collect Stones or Stones related shirts, sweaters, etc. from the early 70s. Will pay top prices for items from this era. Thanks!

I've told my wife a handful of names to contact should anything happen to me. The cool thing about collecting clothes is they also have the fashion element to them, so they generally appeal to more folks than just Stones collectors. As a bonus, I gotta keep my figure to fit into all the 70s t-shirts!

That's a parking lot bootleg from '78. That 70s Show had a stylist that bought true vintage tees from folks for a number of shows. If you want to send me a message, I can keep an eye out. They do come up from time to time.

Quotewalkingthedog I was a member for a couple of years in the late sixties. I still have some newsletters. They also sent me a picture cover for Honky Tonk Woman. And a signed picture of the band, but I'm not sure if the signature is real or just a print. Did you ever get one of the shirts?

QuoteSwayed1967 Why would anybody wanna wear such a cruddy old shirt or even keep it in one’s house? Is it bought as an investment or to let neighbors know that you’re a ‘fan-club’ type? All serious questions. ha! I collect old t-shirts and have some that are in way worse shape than this. Most of mine as 70s though....I'm always looking if anyone has any???

Saw them in December. The energy was insane and they showed a bit more versatility live. Can't wait for their first full-length album.

Quoteblack n blue How many are actually concert shirts is the question 90% of mine are. A lot are staff or crew shirts that were never available to the general public.

I specialize in collecting original, vintage Stones t-shirts from 1981 and before. I'd say I've got between 70-100 vintage shirts from back then. Original Exile & Sticky Fingers promo shirts, lots of staff only shirts from '75. A few of the rare entourage items - jackets, etc. and even the goat head sweater from '73.
