Ah, yeah.

Yeah, that's most of my collection. It's been refined a bit since that blog post.

I find it strange though that this shirt states 'North-American Tour 1972'. Not only is it a misspelling, but that tour was, at least at the time, not refered to as 'North American'.

Correct. The well known tour poster, which was "official," was sold at the merchandise stands -- I have a ragged one purchaed at MSG -- calls it the American Tour 1972. Also, the plane logo is diffeent from the one on that shirt.

Here's the earlier shirt I was talking about - it was '67 not '66.

1967 Shirt

But is there any evidence that these (mighty fine) t-shirts were 'Official' merchandise or were simply groovy stuff bought from a boutique in Carnaby Street?

I read on here awhile back that they were fan club shirt, but haven't ever seen documentation.

That's a bootleg shirt. The only official 72 tour tee was plain white with a red and black tongue on the front and no writing. I have mine from Knoxville 72 around here somewhere.

Did you ever dig that shirt out? Would love to see it if so.

I don't see an image of the shirt that bitman is referring to.
But wasn't the 'official' T-shirt an image of Jagger in dark jumpsuit from the side, and it said something like American tour 72?

I have a black one with the old style red tongue on it, and wording North American Tour 1972, that was given to me several years after the tour was over, by someone who was there. I can't state for sure that it is not bootleg, but there is absolutely no reason to think it is. This was from way before this thing would have had so much value. I do not know if it was sanctioned by the band, but it was for sure from the actual tour, at an actual concert, by a vendor at venue.

Just fixed the link in the original post from a few years back.
